Can we offer him the starting role? I think he will be great playing next to Kobe. Nash can lead the second unit.

Kobe/Meeks
Metta/Clark
Pau/Kelly
Howard?/Hill

Jazz have no reason to go after him and he'll demand more money than the mini MLE we can offer. He'll sign for a team under the cap like Pistons or even play SG next to guy like Kyrie on the Cavs.

yes please, always liked this guy from his days in Cleavland. You could also add Nate Robinson to that list the guy is a heluva competitor and always plays hard

why do people forget Lakers don't have anything to offer financially?

S and T from a team over the cap?

EDIT: S&T must include the FA's former team in the deal or it can be any team?

Just curious, but if the the Lakers were to amnesty MWP would they then be able to off the full MLE other then the mini one? I would think so right?

Not only that ... I don't care what anybody thinks, I doubt there is no way MDA would put Nash in the 2nd unit.

And for those of you wanting Nash traded he ain't going anywhere so get over that as well ...

This. If there is way to get Nate, we should do it.

We have to get below the luxury tax to get the full mle, so we would need either Dwight to walk or Pau to be traded for no incoming salary, same with Blake, & amnesty Metta.

With that said I'd love to have Mo on this team for the mini mle & would hope Nash would gracefully give him the starting spot that he demands..

Regardless of what happens with Howard or MWP, all we have is the Mini Mid Level ($3 million) & Vet Min deals to offer free agents ($1.3 million), period... We could pay Earl more but nobody else...

can't afford him and certainly not interested if he requires a promise that he'll start.

you can run a small backcourt with
Nash
Mo
Kobe
Pau
Dwight

assuming you got Mo...which would be near damn impossible
