Do you think the Clippers can sign LEBRON JAMES-- July 2014?

list your ideas of whether you think the Clippers can get James next year-if so why do you think he would come here and what big piece guys would be part of the team? I know he won 2 rings recently but he recently made comments a few days ago saying he wants the big 3 to stay together but things do change.

I am not sure if he is an L.A. guy, he is such a "Marketing Machine" now that I don't know if L.A. has any benefits for him.
I could be wrong, I see him going back yo Cleveland if anything and helping that franchise.

I would love to have him on the Clips. Him and CP3 are very close friends, but no, I don't see him here.

I expect him to re-sign with Miami.

I think it's more likely that LeBron will leave Miami after he opts out in 2014, which I think is something the Heat are concerned with in looking at deals for Bosh. Now, I'm not saying they will deal Bosh but they need to find a way to build up their long-term viability without sacrificing another run for that crucial run for the 2014 NBA Championship. I like the comparison of LBJ to Wilt Chamberlain in that he's a supreme athlete and talent but not really considered a truly great winner...at least not yet. He's not Bill Russell, Jerry West, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, or Michael Jordan and he will try his best to reach that echelon in chasing rings.

Let's also not forget that Wade is fading and the Miami fanbase is also one of the fair-weather variety when those Game 6 deserters were trying to beat the traffic in South Beach. Also, talk about returning to Cleveland is just that: talk. He's trying to curry favor back with that fanbase he jilted. He's just too obsessed with establishing his legacy as a winner to seriously consider going back to his hometown.

The Lakers would be an obvious choice as an organization that was known for its world-class approach to continually building winners, but under Jim Buss that has not and will not be the case any time soon. The Clippers of today would look like a much more attractive situation by comparison. However, depending on what we do this offseason in terms of contract commitment(s), I don't know if we'll be able to get LeBron in 2014.

He is the best player in the NBA by far. It would be great to have him on the Clippers. However, I think the chances of that are very remote

For the most part the guy is just a good guy playing basketball.

I'd love to have him.
