For those who have not seen it, the roster for the summer league is out. Seems like a good roster for sure.

PG: Doron Lamb & Matthew Dellevadova
SG: DeQuan Jones, Victor Oladipo, Rodney McGruder & A.J Slaughter
SF: Tobias Harris, Moe Harkless, Romero Osby, Eric Wise
PF: Andrew Nicholson & Keith Clanton
CT: Kyle O'Quinn & Jared Berggren

Does anyone think that any of these players not already on the roster can make it? I saw a video of Dellevadova and he looked decent.

This years summer leagues games are gonna be awesome. With Harris Harkless & Oladipo as being the young core & future if the Orlando Magic & 3 players we all have high hopes for & maybe all 3 starters then being the majoeity if our starting lineup running together in the summer league is gonna be fun to watch.

They're all gonna be on NBATV and I will be watching/DVRing them all.

I think this is just LA leaking bs....

Derozan is a career .239 3pt shooter that is avg at best defensively, high usg and he just inked a 4 yr / 9.5m per fully guaranteed deal. How does he fit next to CP3 when he needs the ball in his hands to be effective and has no range.

Bargnani can spread the floor but to pay a back up pf/c $10.75m and $11.5m to do so is silly...plus he has a 5% trade kicker....

I think we have to move Afflalo and Davis, Jameer is our locker room leader. I think 1 more year of losing guys and whoever we pick up will help us and it will be time

A more mature core (Harris, Harkless, Vucevic, Oladipo, Nicholson) with a top 8-10 pick and the cap space, we will be ready to get back into the playoffs.

I believe all vets should be shopped during this stage of the rebuilding process, to give their PT to our young guys and try to find assets that make more sense than them for us at this stage, like picks or yong guys with potential, and let them compete somwhere else while we're about development, dumping them to tank is different. But while I've never been a fan of Jameer, I think in principle he's the one we're least urged to move because we haven't found the PG we want to develop yet, and he's always seemed to be a good influence. Of course, if you can get value that makes sense with the rebuilding plan you move him too, regardless whether he's the locker room leader.

The problem with this approach is it flies in the face of the culture Hennigan and company are trying to instill. It sends a bad message. "We love your leadership, until we can move you."

Keep doing that and no one wants to be here, cause management doesn't walk the talk.

Now that the draft is over.....i really wonder what would it take to pry Derrick Favors away from Utah. I have no clue what they are planning on doing with Jefferson and Millsap. But i think that Favors would be an ideal complement to Vuc ....and the entire team.

Favors/Nicholsen or Big Baby/Osby
Vucevic/Oquinn

That would be a well balanced and almost too talented to actually tank next season. Balance of offensive firepower and defense as well.

I know he would be available next offseason.....but seeing how he would fit on our roster prior to that would be great. If Afflalo + pieces (Nicholsen + future First Round (our 2015 pick)) or Afflalo + big baby and a pick for Favor and Williams would make it happen....I would much prefer to see that than picking up bledsoe for a similar package.

I know the derrick favors thing has been tossed around before the draft.....but i want to know what peoples thoughts are now.

He hasn't really proven anything. I'd like to see him play for that contract, then see if we want to move on him as a free agent. The risk there is a big money deal may leave him complacent.

I'm not convinced Favors is a guy that can be counted on yet.

I think if like the article said the Clippers could get back a package of DeRozan & Bargnani is pretty good. I know DeRozan hasn't lived up to potential but still has some skill athleticism & is still young. I think he would thrive on a good team with a great veteran gaurd in Chris Paul would be great for growth. I know Bargnani has a terrible contract per his play last year but take $ away for a sec & he is a perfect for into LA's front court.
The Clippers need a big who can shoot & stretch the floor. It also makes Jordan even more expandable or even Blake if they get a great offer. Bargnani showed early in career he could score points in bunches & being traded to a winning team with a coach like Doc I believe they would get a much better player than we saw w Raptors.
All that said his contract is terrible. I know Clip wanna win now but that's a huge contract to take on and they would have to make numbers work & add more players. Also its just a rumor so who knows if its true or has any legs but if I'm LA & think I'm close ill take a chance in 2 top picks in recent drafts with hopes Doc & CP3 would get the best outta them or at least more than Tor did.

Bargnani is a boat anchor, the Raptors are looking to dump him and his ridiculous contract. No team is going to be looking at him as an asset, they'll have to be bribed to accept Toronto adding him to a trade.

Tobias would start at PF, Harkless at SF, and Oladipo at SG or PG.

with our roster, why start him at PF? he will be playing mostly SF with the regular team, let him get started more with it during the SL.

kinda hard playing behind millsap and jefferson....hence his 23 minutes a game. But even in that amount of time he produces 9.4 pt, 7.1 rebound and 1.7 blocks. Not saying that it would be a surefire thing....but if we can get him in a trade we can evaluate and have first dibs on him once he's given time to show what he can do through a full season. If jefferson and millsap are allowed to leave as free agents...or are signed and traded to fill out their roster, he will get his time....and if he produces....our chances for sure are slim to none.
