It looks like the Orlando Summer League (OSL) is using a scoring system and will have a "championship" day on the 6th day.
I don't recall this being the case in years past. I thought it was just 5-days, 5-games.
If you look at the schedule, Detroit plays the Nyets on Monday, Celtics on Tues, OKC on Weds, Thurs off, and on Friday they play the Heat. Saturday being Championship Day.
Is this new, or did I miss this is years past?

Re: New Summer League format?
What's Vegas doing? And is there any chance they switch back to the Vegas Summer League in the future? I watched when Monroe was a rookie and last year, and the VSL was FAR more interesting to watch. I really hope they don't stay in Orlando because a coach they fired liked it more...

Re: New Summer League format?
I recall one of the reasons that they switched to Orlando was because it was cheaper. The entry fee is less, and because it wraps up in a week, they aren't paying as much to house and feed the players down there.
I don't know if they'll ever switch back? Seems like more teams are jumping over to the OSL.

The worst thing about that Orlando court is the fricken lighting.

Re: New Summer League format?
damn most of the teams going are pretty much all playoff teams who were non existent in the draft. celtics did a bit, orlando have V.O, and philly got mcw. i hope we get to play utah in the finals though, just to see kcp against burke.
thunder could actually be a little more interesting than i first thought too, got steven adams this year, lamb and pj3 should be playing, maybe reggie jackson too.
the good thing about orlando is we get to see them a week or so earlier atleast..

^Exactly what I hate the Orlando summer league. Really don't get a chance to see the other top rookies. None of those teams had top 10 picks.
