Bensational wrote:Bledsoe is a no risk gamble. If we deal AA for him and Butler, we get out of AA's deal and get a season to look at Bledsoe before he becomes our RFA. By that point, we'd know where we stood with the draft (whether we draft another PG or not), and we can make an offer on him from there.

Or, I'd also happily consider being a middle man in a 4-way deal for Bledsoe.

LAC: Afflalo
DET: Bledsoe + Butler
POR: KCP + Stuckey
ORL: McCollum

lol... Bit of a recurring theme going on here with me.

I'm with you on that recurring theme. I'd actually prefer McCollum to Bledsoe.

This has got to be a ploy because i don't think Hennigan would respond to someone demanding or suggesting an extension before we even get to see if he even works on this team. Can he run a team? Can he play as well as he played in LA with much less talent? Can he make anyone better? those are the questions we might have to pay in advance to see an answer to. FOH i'd rather just wait a year and see what PGs are in the draft that could be had i mean i'd love Wiggins but i highly doubt we get a Number 1 selection next season. Marcus Smart is still on my radar he would be younger and cheaper than Bledsoe, bigger and possibly stronger and actually has PG instincts

i agree, no reason to give Bledsoe any type of extension, personally i think the guy is getting overrated, if he comes at a reasonable price sure, but all this talk of Afflalo, a pick, and a huge contract? no thanks, lets wait for smart :D

Nicholson will compete with the UCF guy for PF spot.

Uhhh.....Not sure you're serious but Nicholson doesn't have to compete with anyone for a spot he's pretty much guaranteed one as far as im concerned

Was a post off of twitter from another of our members, adam. While I highly doubt it, if UCF guy Clanton comes in and performs, Nicholson can be moved.

Will picking Smart even be a smart thing to do( no pun intended :D )? He's not a great shooter but is really good at driving to the basket.
IMO, if the team remains the way it is right now in next year's draft, we won't pick Smart.

Interesting, All that promise and talent moved just like that for someone who performs well in summer league, not....not the actual season but summer league. Ok well hey anything can happen right?

Oh no guys. Strap in....gonna be a long, long ride again!!!  :-?

LOL, in all seriousness...I think Dipo is honestly going to be the Anti-Dwight. I think he is going to be the guy that gets mad at HIMSELF for missing shots, turning the ball over, missing free throws, etc....instead of blaming his teammates, his coaches, his GM, his fans, his barber, his chauffeur....hehe.

I'm very very excited about this kid, and I think he has the chance to be something special. Lead us back to the promised land Dipo!!!

So why do you think oladipo can improve his shooting but After 1 year smart is a finished product? Smart has a solid realese, his shot selection for a freshman was suspect, lets see if he can improve because after 3 years victor did..

IDK, I just feel like for a PG we should be going for someone who's a much more natural shooter. I don't have an answer to why Smart cannot improve. He can. But I just feel like for our PG we should have someone who is much more offensively capable compared to Oladipo or Harkless.

meh if Smart is the best PG i'm taking him, give me a leader of men and someone who can run a team and has elite size and defense at that position? sign me up, his mechanics are solid he will be at least a decent shooter but the intangibles, size and defense you can't teach. It'll be practically the same thing as getting Bledsoe but younger and cheaper and possibly better overall. I mean if Bledsoe can improve his shooting Smart can too

For some reason, I'm inclined to believe that that picture was from Oladipo. :(
