How does Goodwin project as a defender? He seems to have the tools but what's his reputation like on the scale of lockdown to turnstile?

Well the guy was finishing high school a year ago, so it's tough to project. Tough to know, but Kentucky overall underachieved last year, even before Noel got injured, but they are so young, I don't think you can really judge too much. He just needs to get some good coaching.

Man...we got lucky with Len :D

Watch this JR Reid breakdown when he was a Frosh

http://video.theacc.com/video/136772223 ... t-Alex-Len

Here is an entire game against Duke....I watched it all. Len was like 10 and 10.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOZGc2_ubc4

I see why McD drafted him.... He does not compare to Hibbert, Z nor R Lopez....he is way more fluid. Can't believe he just turned 20 years old!? Give him three more years to develop...main stay :D

We kept hearing that the Suns didn't like McLemore and that the Suns red flagged Noel and we all assumed it was smoke screens and not true.

We were wrong.

Going forward, give rumors some validity. Just like this year, they could all be true...

The only source I've seen that suggests we did red flag Noel is nbadraft.net. Nobody else has confirmed it, and another report said we never saw his medical info, so it's not much better than speculation to me

Everything i have read said that we never got his medical records, so we couldnt red flag him.

I actually have researched Len and am actually excited to have him here. I call him sleeper for rookie of the year.

15/10 & 2 blocks

That is my estimate.

That would be awesome if he had better stats against pro competition than he did against college competition. Hopefully he can be a solid player at some point. Daydreaming today I thought of how taking him over McLemore was kind of like when the Suns traded Dennis Johnson for Rick Robey.

BJ Mullens avg 11/6/1 on a horrible Bobcats team

We have no rebounders/hustle bigs and no big in middle for defense

I can see him avg 15/10 and 2 at the best his Rookie year and at the least 12/9/2

seems like you are one of the people who look at stats and not what he was surrounded by.

He was the only one who could score and got double and triple teamed also no distributor in the back court

Yes, but part of the issue is spacing and we may not have great spacing either, especially if we trade Dudley. But regardless, the guys he will be going against will be MUCH tougher. The best he went against were Noel and Plumlee. Those are the worst he will go against now. I think in a few years he can have the kind of stats you want, but if he did it as a rookie it would be a miracle. There are only maybe 10 guys tops in the whole league who avg 10 rebounds. It's nice to have high hopes for a rookie season, but it will be tough going against Cousins, Howard, Ibaka, Duncan, Gasol, etc.

Here is a list of players who averaged 15/10/2 in last 5 seasons. Doubt we will see Len's name on this list anytime soon. 12/9/2 isn't realistic either.

I was trying to think if any other rookie big in recent times averaged something like that as a rookie. Checked out Gasol. He averaged 17.6, 8.9, 2.7 assists, 2.1 blocks and won rookie of the year. Duncan averaged 21.1, 11.9, 2.7 assists, 2.5 blocks. Yao averaged 13.5, 8.2, 1.8 blocks, 1.7 assists

I'd be extremely happy if he could average what Yao did as a rookie.
