Speights is good on offense, his defense though..

He's known to be lazy defensively and horrible defending the pick & roll.

Still not sure we can afford him, but if Riley and Co. feel he can be an asset, then bring him in.

And they are likely better than anyone in Summer camp. Does Speights rebound tho? he can shoot

Yepp. He's been a solid D rebounder like Bosh, but he's also a noticeably better than Bosh with offensive rebounds

I'd love either of those guys. They're a small reason why I thought Memphis was going to be so good this past season..they made their bench very scary

Speights is a great shooter and rebounder. But a horrible defender. Not exactly the type of player we need with the MLE.

I don't understand why some of you still want to add another wing... we're loaded at those spots

I'm more interested in filling out the C spot to move Bosh back to the 4... :dontknow:

I seriously doubt we're gonna look at a player to "improve". We'll get a player that can bring defense right away.

No player is perfect. He fits 2/3 things we need. He can take Varnados spot.

Healthy Oden is perfect. Everyone else is a gamble. Including dalembert

No player is perfect for 3 million.

Shooting and rebounding is exactly what we need from a guy who could be making 3 million. Any complaint about his defense could be made about bosh before he joined us

I just gave myself a good hearty laugh

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ocrozsb

The Heat would spend more money but that's still funny, how is that even possibly. Asik may have stone hands too but boy can he defend/rebound.

MM + Joel for Asik works too http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=dy5k3do but it's pointless, if Birdman resigns, which I expect, Asik wouldn't play anyway.

He'd get plenty of minutes, imo

ESPN's trade machine isn't working. I sent Jarvis for Asik and the trade was successful

Seems unfair to me. Better throw in Parsons and a second rounder.
