It looks like a panic deal to me. I like Bargnani. I don't mind having him on our team only if we get rid of Amare and keep our first rounder.

If this deal goes happen, then Amare's, Melo's, Chandler's and Bargnani's contracts will come off the books in 2015. o_O

Amar'e is a bad fit next to Melo though, Bargs is a great fit next to all 3, Tyson/Bargs, Amar'e/Bargs, Tyson/Bargs/Melo is a great fit, while Tyson/Amar'e/Melo isn't so great. Amar'e can continue to be our super 6th man off the bench to preserve his knees.

Hmm, I guess they would rather take on Camby and Novak than use their amnesty. But they are still taking on dead-weight money instead of using one amnesty on one player. Toronto isn't really getting anything "good" out of this deal unless a first-rounder is included.

I'd love to not include a first-rounder, since Bargnani is so lazy and soft, but Toronto would probably look elsewhere if the Knicks were to not include a first-rounder.

I'm trying to see the deal from both sides and I'm pretty neutral.

Toronto is not getting a first rounder for Bargnani, they can look all they want. :lol:

I'll wait to endorse the trade when I see it. But the player that Bargs is, as a second option, I endorse if healthy ... Much better than JR if he's right.

people need to realize novak and camby are both bad contracts at this point and bargs is better than them both. the people saying they should be giving us picks are insane. it would be straight up rape if it was just a player for player deal. knicks throwing in a couple picks makes it more fair.

i'm not happy to give up any picks, but we're in a position where we need to take risks just like the nets did. we're not mortgaging our future either like the nets did.
