Where does that leave Biz, the bench?

Buddinger might not be a bad signing as combo wing who can shoot the ball. Already getting interest from other teams though, so not likely.

McBob is 6'10, only 26. He aggressively rebounded. He looked to set picks and pass, at all times getting others involved. He played within the system. Other parts of the team worked better when he was on the floor. He did it all with a joie de vivre that inspired esprit des corps. In short, he played basketball the way I enjoy seeing it played. Call me a terrible homer but I would gladly overpay him to stay.
Count me in on this. McBob does everything we ask him to do and he does it well. He just plays the game the right way. I would gladly overpay to keep him. But nobody else is going to offer much to him so we don't have to worry about that.

Pass on Budinger. We have JT and Hendo, both of whom essentially do what Budinger does, but they also play defense.

Budinger would be a very nice fit here.

Cho is not betting his basketball career on Biz. To think they are building around him is just wrong.

As to OJ Mayo; I have liked him as a player who could give us an extra dimension, but he is not worthy of a max deal. I just don't see him getting out of Dallas. We NEED a major goto scorer.

Still, nobody can time out a perfect scenario for our build to championship form. Holding put for a tank next season guarantees nothing. Plus, MJ knows we will be in the lottery anyway, and our luck stinks no matter how bad our record.

Therefore, if we can obtain a quality free agent starter now that fits our team and can be part of the core, do it. Holding the space for next year guarantees nothing.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

In the nouveau NBA drive and kick world you need drivers and shooters. Kemba, Hendo and MKG are our drivers. I don't see any advantage in replacing Hendo with Mayo. To bolster our shooting corps I would rather add wing size with the less expensive Mike Dunleavy (42% 3 pt shooter) or Francisco Garcia (42% 3pts vs OKC while guarding KD), to go with Taylor and BG, to spot up for kickouts and trail on breaks.

Add Dunleavy/Garcia. Hold the Mayo.

I'm really torn over this but I agree Bassman, can we hold off another season whilst being reliant on luck which we never seem to have?

Who would be that free agent though is the real question.

Agreed 100%, but I prefer Anthony Morrow to either of them, personally. Morrow had a down year, this year falling out of the Hawks' rotation and never getting into Dallas' once he was traded there, but he's had some big games in his career, the dude can shoot like few others, and he won't even be paid as much as a Dunleavy or a Garcia. Plus Morrow has Charlotte ties.

Morrow is a great choice but I'm really sold on Dunleavy, he really offers us another dimension for this team in terms of shooting, versatility and vet leadership.

RT @daldridgetnt: As @ESPNSteinLine reported, Pelicans will meet with Tyreke Evans late tonight. Told they will have an offer sheet in hand--a big one.

Hmmm, Pelicans must have a taker for Eric Gordon.

Getting the pick in 2014 works for me. Is Smith going to be playing the 3 fulltime for them?

Lol they going to play him at SF? Bring Drummond off bench? Trade Monroe? Him Monroe and Drummond are a horrific fit. More power to them, though.
