Anyway,

Here's more videos of Withey for your approval.

Joking. Right.

I apologize if I think the incessant whining over the decision of a then 9 day-old front office on not picking a 23 year-old second round talent with no upside is a little silly. So sorry.

Where did you read that at? I never read any rumors involving the twolves.

If they gave Cousins more options outside to pass out to on his drives you're probably talking 3-4 assist opportunities if it's option 2 for him on that play.

No thanks on this. Cuz would foul out within the first half the way the refs call the games.

SacKingZZZ wrote:Anyway, even if they got him in the post more your goal is halfway accomplished because the idea is to augment defenses away from the perimeter. When you have a physically dominant big it drives the necessity for an elite drive and dish guard down and that will most certainly factor into Rekes value with this team.

Would much rather him work in the post with Tyreke running backdoors (a la Peja) and B-Mac hanging out at the 3 pt line.

Uh, hate to tell you but he's driving to the rim that many times already. Just give him an option to pass more than putting up a contested shot.

They did scout McCallum extensively, if they thought Cole would be the better choice, and were looking towards the future assuming IT would cost more than they wanted to pay etc...then maybe.

But They could have locked this scrapper up on the cheap for a few years.

McCallum looked good to me coming out of high school. But is he going to get time to develop or just be another Tyler Honeycutt?

One of the best defensive talents in college basketball has no upside? Now you just sound bitter.

I've got no doubt Malone and company will be capable of a much needed developmental approach we have been lacking.

Really comes down to preferring the Big defensive fella.

Damn I cannot believe this Withey debate is still alive. Im happy with the McCallum pick..

Also, for those of you upset PDA didn't take Withey keep this in mind, perhaps PDA has a plan for that defensive role in FA.

Most scouting reports said the same thing, but I guess to you they probably just sound bitter too.

Point is they shouldn't rely on him driving to the basket even more. His biggest advantage is being able to use his size and weight to back people down. He get's called for offensive fouls far too often and they need to limit that to keep him in the games longer. Leave the drive and dish to the guards.

I'm saying they need to rely on his passing more and rely on his passing when he does drive more as opposed to trying to always finish the play. When the floor is spread more he'll get less calls because the lane will be wide open or, "splash".

Ahhh...I guess we just misunderstood each other. I'm on board with that. He tends to get in trouble when he tries to do too much himself instead of finding open teammates.

Sounds like a good, humble kid.

LOL @ Jalen Rose: "I knew I was going to the league when I was 4 years old. I was an irrational confidence guy."
