If Ujiri is still after his man, and L.A was interested in Bargnani/DeRozan, then there is just no way they would pass up DeRozan + Novak, this trade completes their team and would be an ideal scenario for them over Afflalo.

Toronto Sends: DeRozan, Novak

Receives: Bledsoe, Butler, Bullock

I think I would pass on that. I am actually excited about Novak being on this team - I love the 3 ball and can't wait to see an actual 3 pt specialist shoot some in for the Raptors. Bledsoe may be an up and comer, but not excited about Butler.

If anything I rather get Afflalo from the Magic in a 3 team deal; he is a better fit next to Gay and Lowry. Otherwise, maybe Demar to the Bucks for Ersan?

I'm not totally sure but I do believe you have to wait a certain amount of time before you can trade a player you just traded for.

I love the trade for both teams. Clippers need 3 point shooters and Novak is one of the best. They also get someone that is of similar age as Bledsoe. Do they really have to add bullock though? I think it works without him. Maybe they can give us picks instead. =)

If we were to obtain Bledsoe I wonder who would start at SG? I actually wouldn't mind giving Ross the opportunity in a tanking year. He would help stretch the floor with Rudy. Bledsoe is more of a SG/PG hybrid anyways.

hmmm... never thought of it like that... LAC wants a big that can spread the floor... Novak definitely does that. This could be a part of the reason Masai made this deal... get picks for Bargnani and send Novak and DeMar (or Ross) to LAC for Bledsoe and Butler. It's possible, and I'm sure it'll be discussed.

You can really see Bledsoe's ability in this game. Impressive stuff.

Ross, obviously. Gives the kid a chance to develop and boost his value amongst nba gm's.

They wouldn't include Bullock I'm pretty sure. They would want a shooter to backup DD. Maybe Orlando would be willing to take Lowry and the Knicks 1st for Affalo?

Net result of all trades: Bargs,DD,Lowry for Bledsoe,Affalo and Expirings(Butler,Camby,QRich) and two 2nds.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Some Clipper fan said on the draft thread that the Clippers pick will go to Toronto.

Why would we give up Novak? He's one of the best three point shooters of all-time, and three point shooting is exactly what we need.

Memphis traded Calderon to Detroit like the day they got him I believe. Wallace only played one game in Atlanta before being traded to Detroit. Lots of players have been traded in one day or less.

Maybe because our primary goal isn't to try to maximize our win total in the near term but rather to build a long term championship contender?
Interviewer: Championship #2?
Ujiri: Hey...We're gonna get it. I don't know when it'll be, but we're gonna get it. Just like I said we'll get the first one and I said I didn't know when we'd get it...But we will. Guarantee you we will.

You guys just don't understand which types of teams would want which types of players. The Clips would never trade for Derozan when it's clear they'd want a stopper who can ideally hit 3s.

Just as Gay to the Rockets didn't/doesn't make any sense either. Contending teams don't seek out 3rd tier scorers that can't make 3s and don't create for others (perimeter players).

The only way you can trade one of these guys is to a team like Detroit, Washington or maybe Portland. It will have to be some crap team that wants to start winning now, not a winning team that's looking to fill holes. GMs of contending teams see guys like Gay and DD for what they are.

More draft picks, Valanciunas, Gay and Bledsoe? That is pretty nice to go forward with
