The Brewers could use Norichika Aoki as a chip as the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline approaches.
Milwaukee is expected to sell and Aoki won't hit the free agent market until after the 2014 season.
Aoki entered Monday batting .284 with a .362 on-base percentage, 43 runs scored and nine stolen bases.
