I'd take him over Mullens for sure. High energy big man that showed a little range last year in Dallas.

It's depressing to look at this forum and all the latest threads about who the FO is interested in or going after. :-?

Wright had a PER of over 20 last year. Doubt he goes for the minimum.

If you expected something else, with our cap situation, you haven't been paying attention.

Also there's that Dwight guy we're going after....

 Huh? What haven't I been paying attention to? Have you been paying attention to the other reactions to those names besides mine? Ellington? Farmar? Garcia? Budinger?? Mitch shouldn't be looking at any players other than Dwight right now.

Once that gets figured out then the level of roleplayers you can target becomes more clear. If he stays, then players like Calderon, Belinelli, Korver, Pietrus, and even AK47 is worth a shot since he wants to win. Hell, bringing back Fisher, and Odom would be nice too. Maybe Kaman? Brand? If Miami is getting Battier and Ray Allen dirt cheap, why couldn't the Lakers sign at least one of those players with Kobe, Nash, Gasol, possibly D12?

I don't wanna be hearing names like BJ Mullens, and Copeland the minute free agency starts...sue me.

The Lakers ARE thinking of Howard. Most of these guys are shooters to help space for Howard. It's what would help him succeed. They are also young and inexpensive. This is exactly what they should be doing.
