I think the Evans to the Pelicans move is to shop Gordon. As for the Pistons, if they signed Evans I believe he would be their starting 1 or 2. I can't see him coming off the bench. Evans had an amazing rookie season. I think a lot of teams are still looking at that. The whole Kings situation is a mess no doubt. After Iggy (clear fit), Evans was my two option because of his versatility. I was willing to go anywhere from 8 to 10 mil a season but max money is crazy.

Max money? He is being offered 4/$48M.

4yr-$40M deal would have been ideal but you always have to overpay RFAs.

Paying Evans 48 over 4 years is not overpaying. It's ludicrous.
At a lower price, I'm willing to get back to negotiating. But 48 mil over 4 yours?! C'mon...

$8M more than I'd offer.

I haven't seen much of Vasquez. Strengths? Weaknesses? What kind of contract would he get?

Am I the only one who thinks that Evans is just Rodney Stuckey with more athleticism? Both guys can't shoot very well but Evans is more of a floor general than Stuckey ever could dream of being. Don't know how I would feel if we got him.......

Point Guard playing in a wings body, excellent floor vision, great passer. Essentially an already developed MCW. Doesn't shoot well and seems to have a low ceiling. I would give him 4/30 but only if we were set on him instead of Knight. We don't have the pieces to give for Vasquez so I doubt it's an option
