I would look into trading Rudy Gay to Charlotte for Gordon and the Bulls and/or Portland pick.

Then Look for a deal moving Demar for a young pg.

I'd really like to see if the Pistons are serious about the playoffs this year b/c if they are, and they strike out on Smith/Iggy, Gay could be a guy they would go after.

I dont think that the Pistons strike out.

I could see intest in Demar for and Expiring and perhaps a pick or something though.

He'd be a nice get but I don't see how we could help them. I'd cough up a 2nd, but we can't absorb his salary, have no TPE, and they clearly don't want money back. He also has a 15% TK which is pretty balls.

If they're truly desperate, they can cut him by the 5th for 500k

Charlotte has been a natural trading partner for us for awhile, that Ben Gordan contract is a good piece.

If we're tanking... this is the best way to do it. I doubt Charlotte would give us both of those picks though - if they would, even better.

But this is is the absolute best scenario if we're packing it in for the year. really, the only way I'd accept a "tank" movement. Get a lot of picks in 2014 and have the best possible odds to get the #1 pick.

I can't see NO wanting Lowry with Holiday, Reke, and Rivers there who are all capable of playing the PG spot. They also have Eric Gordon at the 2 spot. No need for DD there either.

Trade #1

To Toronto: Joel Anthony + MIA 2014 1st RD Pick
To Miami: Marcus Camby + Earliest TOR 2014 2nd RD Pick + Cash

* deal can be added to the current NYK trade

Toronto moves their earliest 2nd to the late 1st, take on 2.8 million next season in doing so. Clear a guy who doesnt want to be here

Miami saves 5.6 in luxury tax next season, 2.8 in total salary and get a guy who can help them this year.

To Minnesota: Landry Fields + NYK 2016 1st RD Pick

Toronto saves money yearly, Berea is a capable backup PG, clear Fields contract

Minnesota clears their glut at PG, get a guy who can replace AK & get a 1st round pick.

To Utah: Linas Kleiza + Aaron Gray + Quincy Acy + MIA 2014 1st RD Pick

Toronto gets its PF who is an excellent fit in our starting lineup. They dont trade any of their future 1sts, all this was done by Masai's wheeling and dealing. I really think Millsap would be a great addition to this team, he doesnt need the ball to score, he can shoot from the outside and hes tough.

Utah gets a 2014 1st, 2 expiring contracts who can be used at the deadline + dont hinder their ability to re-sign Hayward & Favors next year, a 2nd round pick last year in Acy and Kleiza coincidentally had his best games vs Utah (much like Bargnani did vs NYK). This is assuming Utah isnt willing to pay a high price (which i dont see them doing)

Put this in the Camby thread, but Camby for Rip could really work for both sides. They need a b/u 5. We could cut Rip immediately on the 10th for $1M. They're going to cut him anyway, have spent their taxpayer MLE on Dunleavy and aren't going to find a better b/u 5 with a shorter commitment.

ALot of players have peaked but they still get traded and have value or produce. Tanking is ridiculous. We got a 1st overall pick and look who it got us.
