Would love to see Bron develop a nice little floater in the post ala Wade, as well as get more consistent from there/find some go-to moves. Obviously easier said than that, but hopefully he continues transitioning there and just gets comfortable.

Also, 80%+ FT shooting next season. Please.

As for Wade, would love to see him continue to improve his midrange shot (was great in the Finals). Bring back that mojo.

A little wishful thinking, but 3-point shooting I'd love to see from him as well. Would be nice if he could at least not be totally ignored from out there.

For LeBron
- I want him to focus on posting up more next season. I don't care if he has to go back to Olajuwon, he needs some more moves in the post.
- FT shooting.

For Wade
- Get healthy. Even if it means missing the first few games of the season, just get to around 90%. That bone bruise is going to take a month to heal.
- Work on your jumper. It's a must at this point.

For Bosh
- I agree with mirrornick, what's the point of telling Bosh to go work on his post moves when we don't even run plays for him in the post? For me he should make it a priority to average double figure rebounds next season

Zasterror wrote:All I ask for from Wade is to work his conditioning and get his knees right.

I think those are the source of all his problems (jumpers, ball-handling, etc.). He needs to lose a bit of weight and change his diet; IIRC he doesn't eat his vegetable and his diet mainly consist of meat. This may seem trivial to some but this is a big deal once you hit 30+. He needs to hang around Ray Allen and take some off-season advice. He needs to get back to Tim Grover to push himself into top shape.

I don't think Wade can ever hit the 3 consistently enough for us to use in an actual game setting (alas Bosh). Him ever getting a 3-point shot is a distance dream.

You notice that Wade was at his best when he finally get his health up to par during the 27 game streak and he was making jumpers like it was nothing. His slowly declining ball-handling and inconsistent FT shooting are directly correlated to his conditioning; when he is tired he gets more sloppier.

Wade, when healthy, was a top 3-5 player in the league; he can work on all the skills he wants but if he is not healthy it won't matter. This was clearly evident this season.

Just saw this post and it's repeating what I said a while ago. His knee issues impact his game heavily. His skillset is very well polished (as evidence by his sudden stretches where his jumper falls, his postgame works etc.), but if he's banged up, it all falls apart. I believe Grover is what's best for him in that regard though.

Goals:

LeBron: 90% free throw shooter
Wade: 35% 3-point shooter (all of his shots are wide open, no reason he can't make 35% of his threes), 85% free throw shooter
Bosh: visit Hakeem, 85% free throw shooter

LeBron doesn't like posting up because he knows that's where injuries come and he says it's not fun to him

Some of you guys are ridiculous with 90% Ft shooter for lebron. Wade becoming a reliable 3 pt shooter. come on now
Stop being so disrespectful.

Lebron: needs to work more
- in his mid range jumper.
-FT
-he needs a lot of rest!
Wade:
- to take care of his knee!
- lose some weight!

Bosh:
- to gain 5-6kg.
- improve his rebounding ability.

I'd like to see Bosh develop a pure jump hook like Kareem used til he was 40.

Well, other than better FT shooting from Lebron and D Wade...along with possible changes in role/useage with Wade/Bosh there's nothing I can really expect as far as raw numbers go. You have to remember how dominate this team looked in the RS, specifically in the 2nd half of the season. Yet the playoffs roll around and they start to struggle and look a bit atrocious a lot of the time...

When easy transition buckets disappear, the defense tightens, and the stakes are higher, max contracts have to play like max contracts. If all the D is giving up is jump shots, gotta knock them down sooner than later. Go with lineups that work best.

Regular season will be fun to watch for sure but it won't tell us much until April rolls around again.

riley did say wade was gonna get down to 212. almost 15 lbs lighter so thats good.

if wade needs any inspiration as to how a player can improve their shot even late into their career just look at j-kidd. he was rondo like earlier in his playing days. his last couple of seasons it was not wise to leave him open for a 3 (minus last year in NY). he went from being a sub .340 3pt shooter for most of his career to shooting over .430 for 3 straight years in dallas.

lebron needs to just rest. lose a bit of weight and work on his FT's, hes earned it

bosh needs to work with spo on getting him more plays and also keep working on his post game/jumper

cole was much improved the 2nd half of the season, hopefully he keeps improving that 3 pointer as well as rio.

the rest of the guys on our team are pretty much set in stone as to what they are capable of

More consistent 3 ball from Rio, continue to work on that ballhandling & keep giving love to that nice floater

Improved jumper, passing for Cole

Some people taking for granted that Ray was coming off ankle surgery in the summer. He will now be able to go through his normal summer training regimens on that jumper. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a slightly better/more consistent shooting year this season.

Bosh just need to continue fine tuning the midrange shots that will be there in this offense. Started the year of money and then slowed down a bit... but more importantly that needs to translate in the playoffs more. That will come with more reps and heightened dedication after his recent so-so playoff run.

Wade, health + midrange jumper. That's IT.

Bron Bron some more reps in the post, free throws, keep in working on that 3 that KO'd the Spurs in game 7 :)

Birdman, conditioning so we can squeeze out maybe 5 more minutes from him on any given game night. He needs to get a little better with our defensive rotations too (occasionally he was like a lost tazmanian devil out there, but that's why we love him). Also wouldn't mind him working on that 15-18 footer.

the Rook Ennis, set shots... corner 3, and defensive stance/positioning for starters. longgg way to go

Everyone else just keep on working on your conditioning, defense, & 3 ball!

I think people on here tend to forget how dominant we were when Wade was fully recovered from his surgery and healthy. Him losing weight could be a huge factor in that regard and a huge factor for us going forward, especially since people forget how good he still is. No offense to Bosh, but there's no contest between the two.

Bosh in the post is not happening. Neither is bulking up. Remember, he tried bulking up last summer, and the team told him not to. Him working on his post game is pointless too. He's not gonna spend much time working down there.

I think the mission for everyone this summer is to stay healthy and put up some shots.

bosh bulking up means less quickness on defense when he is the PnR defender, he'll make slower rotations, etc. bosh is fine physically.

to be honest I think spoelstra and his coaching staff have the most homework to do. they did a great job this year but they really have to work to stay a step ahead of the pack.
