Just another solid moves by the Wiz! Love it.

Maynor, Webster, Aiza, Rice Jr. are alot of the options for the backup wings. Great role players added to a star studded core of Wall Beal & Porter.

Nice job fellas. Moving on to the front court....

WTF

The market doesn't bear that kind of money for him at ALL

I could care less about the dollars as long as the fourth year is a team option...but this goes beyond Nenes contract length if I'm not mistaken :(

This one's going to lead to wailing and gnashing of teeth on this board.

Let me go make some popcorn...

Web!!!! Love it! Remember when shooting was an issue for us a few seasons ago? Not so much anymore. Beal, Porter, Webster, Rice jr. John is FLANKED my brethrens. Hell, he's even gotten into the mix, at least from mid-range. Love the potential of our wings btw.

Edit: significantly more pricey than was speculated about earlier. Still really like the move if he stays healthy, quite a bit more additional risk associated with it though at that term and price.

I'm going to reserve judgment until we see the $. If he's locked up for cheap, I don't care how long the contract is.

Bad signing. I love Martell but that's too much.

Typical Ernie signing.

That's a much bigger contract than I had hoped. They're gonna have to trade Ariza if they have any intentions of upgrading our front court.

I suppose this indicates that the Wizards want Webster to be their lead 6th man - a Jamaal Crawford-type. He's good, but I dunno if he's enough of a shot-creator to be instant offense off the bench. We'll see.

Well to put this in perspective:
Korver's contract is 3 years/ 15M
Would you rather have Korver or Webster?

I like Webster's game, and I think he's a great fit. I'm not sure who we were bidding against, but this is the backcourt/perimeter group that we'll be rolling with for the next 3 years at least.

Wall/Beal/Porter/
Webster

That's a pretty solid core. But unless they hire a hypnotist for Vesley, I don't see how they can upgrade the front court with that much invested on the perimeter.

Webster. He may not be quite as dead-eye, but I think he's a better defender, and can play a few more minutes at the 2. Plus, he's a bit more of a threat off the dribble/bounce.
