Re: Official Speculation Thread
I'm mad we couldn't get Bledsoe, but I'm not blaming Henny. It is what it is.

Yep, send AA to Minny for Williams.
Can Williams play defense?

Re: Official Speculation Thread
JJ gets to go to LA, eat a lot of good food, enjoy the sun, and possibly start on a playoff team. Wow, happy for him for sure.

Not really. It's pointless to get all outraged at him, we have no clue what talks were like between them, or even if they wanted AA after Doc got there. I mean why get mad without knowing all the facts or even what he could be planning? I rather him not make a deal then make a bad deal.
stop. just stop. You are not allowed to use logic on here

Re: Official Speculation Thread
why not try and get Dragic? he is a good player, just turned 27 so still young, much better PG than Bledsoe in that he can shoot and actually knows how to run an offense. The PG market is full right now and they need a SG, get Dragic and another pick or asset from them.

From the general board -
That is John Hammond for you.

I just don't understand this trade. The big prize for the Clips was Reddick. The only way they could sign him was through S&T with the Bucks. The Clips big asset was Bledsoe. But somehow Clippers get Reddick, Bledsoe goes to the Suns and the Bucks are left with 2 2nds. How did this happen?

Wouldn't be surprised if Clippers lock up Landry with their MLE.

Re: Official Speculation Thread
I wonder if somehow JJ becomes the straw that breaks the camel's back and makes Dwight sign in Houston. The Clippers pull off this deal, have a nice team going, all during the meeting with the Lakers. Lakers can't do nothing in free agency and are hamstrung.

Guys get used to it. times of making trades just for the sake of making trades are over. We have a GM that has a plan and will stick to it. Us fans might not understand nor agree to all of his decisions but we know he is righting this ship that for long has been off.
In Henny I trust.

What about the 2 firsts and 2 seconds for nash?
S and T's are worth as much as you make them worth.

Ok, you're right, we should all leave for 3 years and come back when he's done.

They're always been pretty worthless, good for late picks, 2nd rounders, maybe a throw in player. That shows you it's important to not have unrestricted free agents. The Magic messed up on Ryan Anderson and really got lucky with JJ. What happens when all the John Hammonds and Otis Smiths are out of the league? No one to bail you out for not having a player under contract or moving him early.

Re: Official Speculation Thread
We can find a pg in next years draft with one of our 1sts, I'm not worried about Bledsoe. Great trade for the clips, they have shooters now.

I wasn't on the OMG BLEDZORZ wagon but I would have been happy picking him up. Super happy for JJ tho, he's back on a contender.

The thing about drafting a PG is it will take time for them to adjust to the NBA and produce. At least by trading for Bledsoe, he's already 3 yrs in and well adjusted; I would've felt more confident that we would be back to competing in 1-2 yrs. Going with a 2014 draft PG, our serious competing pushes to 3-4 yrs.
