Sacramento is offering free agent Andre Iguodala a four year, approximately $56 million contract, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Do we still think Deng is going to give us a big discount if Iggy goes for $14M a year?

HELL to the NO!
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

Looks like someone smack some sense into them. Iggy is a nice player but 14 million a year? :wavefinger:

Wow that franchise just lost what little credibility it had left.

I don't know about that. They are trying to rebuild a culture and get better. They offer an insane deal to a marginal high level free agent who doesn't have any other offers and he doesn't accept it right away. Why be used as leverage who will only sign with you after exhausting every single possible option? Sacramento needs players who want to be there. I like that they pulled the offer.

Agree completely. Nice move by Pete D'Alessandro - he's not going to allow them to be used by Iggy's agent.

Also that would have been a pretty bad deal for the Kings.

edit:
Chris Broussard just tweeted about the Nets not having enough money to sign Korver. Hah !

My prediction is Dwight goes to Houston and Houston does a S & T with Atlanta for Asik to get Josh Smith(is that possible?)

Houston has Lin, Harden, Parsons, Smith, Howard as their line-up..

Unlikely. Houston won't have the cap space to absorb the difference in salary between Asik and a newly signed Josh Smith (assuming he gets 14 million or more per year).

Would you want to play for the Buck ?
Dunleavy pretty much took a paycut to get out of there, Monta Ellis left 11mil (though he probably believes he'll get more than that), JJ Redick is gone...

Report from Stein - posted on the Bucks board - is that Milwaukee is prepared to make a significant offer to JR Smith.

Wisconsin is looking to get the pipe.

No I totally understand that (noone wants to be a buck) but wtf ? Korver for that much? Why didn't they just go after someone else.

Jr smith may have a hard time turning down that money

They are going after Smith too. I think they're just going after everybody.

We might nor have the best FO or the best recruiters, but at least we're a place players don't mind coming to. Thank god.
