Yeah you're right. A 2014 & 2017 2nd Rounder. There were reports that if we could get it done it done in time, we'd only have to send 1 before midnight. Adding Q' was what likely forced the other 2nd Rounder. But like I've said before, we've found better gems in FA than with 2nd Rounders. Ala Lin, Copeland, Pablo, White, Shawne, etc.

No, it wasn't. Having Eric Bledsoe was.

MIL wouldn't be accepting the trade if they didn't get anything in return. The 2nd rounders gave them something, so that made the difference and the deal was made. Bledsoe was the bigger piece obviously, but those 2 2nd rounders were crucial for satisfying the Bucks.

Yes, I'm sure the Buck fans are screaming victory for securing 2 second rounders from a sure fire playoff team.

I can remember how excited we were when we got OKC's second rounder in February.

The deal wasn't built around second rounders, and we can still trade 2nd rounders going forward.

My point is, the second rounders played a key role in the trade.

Anyway, what do these teams have in common this year: Pacers, Grizz, Heat, and Spurs?

And what do these players have in common: Sam Young, Lance Stephenson, Marc Gasol, Mario Chalmers, Birdman, Norris Cole, Udonis Haslem, Danny Green, Gary Neal, and Manu Ginobli?

2nd round picks are key for building a team, I thought that would become obvious when the player put the dagger in the coffin of the Knicks this season was a 2nd round draft pick.

We traded away '14 pick in Melo deal. Luckily, the CBA prevents teams to trade away consecutive picks so we still have '15 pick. We would have traded it if we could.

So we traded 2 picks plus the option to swap picks? Ok I thought we had nxt years first rounder. Guess not. So we don't have a single pick next year then if we traded the 2014 2nd rounder.

the only pick the knicks would have had next year would have been the pick from OKC.

This thread has to be in the running for longest player transaction thread in RGM history.

Even the LBJ Decision threads were split into chunks. Does anyone remember a longer player thread on here? I can't recall one.

There is a much higher chance of Bargs outproducing Novak, Camby, and late 1sts and 2nds than there is of the reverse.

No matter how you slice it, we made a good deal on paper.

Not really.

Bargs last year played like someone that should be in the D-league.

Exactly! And this isn't the case with ALL Toronto fans btw... But that group needs to LET IT GO! That group is setting it self up for disappointment. He's not going to fail here. Im sure hes looking at this as an opportunity... "he's thrilled to be a part of this storied franchise". I just can't wait to see this new dynamic next year... I can't wait to see who else comes back and if we add anyone else...

The one thing that has gotten lost in this almost 300 pages is Bargs is known to have ice water in his veins

I feel like part of the new Sham-JR motto: I like it!

Toronto Sports Guys laughing at the Knicks.

Well I'm laughing at them. Because in the first 10 seconds of the video, they said they traded Bargnani for a couple of expiring deals which is not the case.

Edit: I'm now 3 minutes into the video. Don't know how much more I can take. These guys are UNBEARABLE.
Edit #2: They have no idea about the Knicks/Nuggs pick swap in 2016. Are all Toronto radio/TV guys this stupid or is it just these two?
sigh once again, they knew that Novak wasn't an expiring. They firstly mentioned that he was traded for expirings as a way to mock how his trade value should have been worth expirings as a best case scenario. Re-watch the vid. They did however, not mention the rights for DEN to swap picks.
For the record this 10 min clip was amazing as I was rolling with laughter. You guys don't know yet.

Yet he was much more productive than Novak, Camby, nearly every player taken in the bottom 10 picks of the 1st round last year, and every 2nd round pick last year.

I have a feeling that this guy is gonna be good on this
team not being the number one option and the main focus.
Watch this interview, he seems to be a bit shy and really
insecure especially when being asked about if its his Raptors team.
