Not a chance the Thunder give up Lamb for Afflalo. They are all about youth and leaving their compeditive window open so to speak. You will never see them go all in like Brooklyn or LAC with loads of win now vets and no youth.

Prestis mantra is all about sustainable success, and to do that they have to keep adding and developing youth via the draft.

Would anyone do this?

Aaron Afflalo and Glen Davis for Tyrus Thomas (The Detroit pick and Portland Pick)

The Bobcats turn a malcontent into a starting SG and a role player in Davis. It also allows them to not overpay Henderson.

We take on Thomas at the expense of receiving two picks.

When Darrel Armstrong used to check into games the place would start to buzz. He would just show up to the scorers table and the place would get energized, the team would too. I see Dipo as a guy with a similar impact eventually. Dipo is a bit bigger stronger than DA but Flash's heart was second to nobody. I said similar impact, Vic will have to earn his stripes to get on the wall of fame.

Why would Sac pull Iggys offer and even consider matching Evans???? Let Evans walk, pay a little more more Andre, he is a better player, better locker room fit, and fits a position of need. That just doesnt make any sense to me.

Vic certainly has the potential to be a spark like DA was. Magic fans have always loved the guys that go out and give 110% and throw themselves all over the court.

No wonder, Henny has robbed avery trade partner he had so far (well may be except New Orleans with Ryno trade)

Ya, but even in still I think that we were able to get something for nothing in a sign and trade, and then use that piece as a way to get Tobias.

if the Thunder had just kept Harden for 1 more season and considered extension options after that (since he'd be an RFA), they could have matched the offer he got and traded him for an equally impressive package then, or negotiated a s&t for him.

heck, Magic could have offered Afflalo and the #2 pick for him, which would be a big upgrade over what they've got right now.

But Afflalo is a key piece to this team's building process.

We know Suns, Bobcats, Sixers, Celtics & Magic will be REALLY bad. Sources say add Hawks to list. If they don't get Dwight

Can we add Portland and Toronto if they trade gay

Portland is not tanking this year and will probably make the playoffs if they can get a decent starting center. They've improved their bench, which isn't saying much, but unless aldridge is traded, they'll likely sneak in or be on the doorstep. They lost 11 in a row to tank last year at the end so they didn't have to give up their draft pick. It was a decision the GM made. Likely would have been a 40+ win team.

We'll get to see Burke in our summer league but no McLemore. Damn, was hoping to get a head to head with him and Oladipo. Maybe it'll be Burke vs. Oladipo at the point. Should be entertaining.

I don't see how Dwight can turn down Houston if they convinced him they could get Josh Smith.

I don't believe we play the Jazz so no head-to-head.

I think MANY Magic fans will be watching Burke and if God-forbid he has a better showing than Oladipo, it's gonna BLOW UP!

It was really an unfortunate spot the Thunder were in. I'm sure it wasn't easy trading Harden but they couldn't afford him anymore after extending Ibaka.

They should've been patient though and held off a little bit longer. Maybe if they shopped him a little bit more there could've been something else out there. But who knows maybe Lamb turns into a pretty good player.

However, I don't think it set them back much. Durant and Westbrook are still there and KD is one of the best, if not the best, player in the game today. And Westbrook is a top 7-10 player if not better.

i tink it went lke this. they offered him something lke 4/40 extension and tried to sell on the "paid less to be on a contender" angle. and if harden did not accept, he was threatened to be traded. harden called them on that, so they kinda had to deliver on those words.

i just think they're stupid for choosing to pay Perkins and Ibaka over Harden. interior presence is definitely their biggest need, but Perkins is sub par, especially for the money he's paid, and Ibaka hasn't shown enough development to justify picking him over Harden.

honestly, the team should've just sucked it up and paid the money to win a championship. i get that money doesn't grow on trees, but sometimes it's worth spending the money. a championship would bring you so much more cash in terms of merchandise that surely it would offset it.
