If it was that clearcut I wouldn't be asking. Any particular reason why you choose that over the others, most notably the Packers and Texans game?

Dont watch much football, but you basically have two options.
Pick a game against a good team where there is a chance that your team could lose (bad first experience)
Or pick a game against a bad team where a victory is guaranteed. (could be boring)

Either way from last year the Niners were pretty good, so go for broke and watch a game against a good team.

...do you even football if you need me to answer that question for you?

it's late in the season where games are more tense. but not too late where it could be a garbage game (ie falcons game)

it's inter-division, in one of the toughest division in the league. with the hawks/niners predicted to both be 10+ win teams.

features two exciting teams with dynamic offences and top tier defences.

rw3 vs ck7

history from last year with a close win for the niners, and then a beatdown in the reverse matchup.

is there a particular player you want to see or are you just looking for the best game?

probably will be the seahawks - later in the season (playoffs, division title probably in play), division rivals, two very good teams

It's opening day against arguably the best QB in the league? That's pretty hard to beat imo. The atmosphere is going to be unlike that of any other game all year. Plus it's to be seen if Russell Wilson hits a sophomore slump. I don't know if I want to hold off that long only to watch a **** Seahawks team in a meaningless game.

Only reason I put the Panthers up there is because I'm a huge Cam Newton fan. Outside of that I could really care less about the players. Maybe Andre Johnson, but his ass is always injured.

Right now I'm just looking for the best game. I'm probably going to be piss drunk anyway so the best pregame atmosphere might influence my decision lol.

packers would be a good game, depends on how much you want to see aaron rodgers

texans i would be less jazzed up for, they are good but not especially flashy (if that is what you're looking for), foster is great but he is generally more of a workhorse not a home-run hitter, jj watt is great but teams will probably have him figured out more and make it a point to take him out of the game (as best they can)

the seahawks are loaded even if wilson has a minor slump (i don't see him falling off the wagon) they are still going to be a very good team, and division games (especially late in the season) are always a big deal

packers game will be very good but i think that the atmosphere for the seahawks game will be just as good if not better (especially if both teams have the success people anticipate)

now i understand that is an assumption you have to make and that won't factor into the first game of the year, but i guess that is your call to make

both games will be very good but i'd give the slight edge to the seahawks

to maybe help your decision try and see if you know anyone who went to the 49ers/packers or seahawks/49ers games last year and see what they thought

tough decision but you guys have valid reasons for the Seahawks game, plus I forgot they traded for Percy Harvin so that would be fun to watch
