From what I hear they are really trying for LMA hard and have a lot of things they are looking at. These talks have been going on for months now and I think the Bulls finally realize that Portland is no budging from Jo

I honestly don't blame Portland for sticking with their guns. Aldridge hasn't been publically poisonous and demanding of a trade to give the Bulls enough leverage to lower the price. The Blazers know they don't need to settle for the pu pu platter because there's no impending threat of Aldridge walking, unlike Howard or Carmelo. They know they can keep the price high and strike when the iron's hot like when the Jazz pulled in a nice haul for Deron Williams.
"And if Rose comes back and is 80% of himself, the Bulls become a pain in the ass" -Zach Lowe

Still rooting for wins, but losses aren't the worst thing in the world. Perhaps the optimal strategy is hoping the Blackhawks are on at the same time.

But again this is Moray we are talking about lol.

Edit: I forgot Houston will probably want LMA for themselves so nevermind about that idea! LOL

The problem is there is nothing we can give the Rockets that makes them a better team than they would be if the got LMA for themselves. Assuming of course they get Dwight.

I wonder if "rebuffing" Aldridge has anything to do with him being repped by BJ Armstrong?

This isn't fantasy land, it's real life. You have to give up big assets to get them back. Noah is easier to replace than Aldridge and that's the bottom line.

Exactly, once you have a BIG 2, guys will want to play here. Plus both are still young.

Thibs has proven time an time again he can make players better an make them fit into our defensive scheme. Noah is awesome but you can find guys that can get you 8-10ppg 8-9reb at the center position.

Oh god...if Houston gets Dwight and then they flip Asik and whatever for LMA...Dwight/LMA/Parsons/Harden...

Please don't happen.

Dallas doesn't have any assets to trade for him. All they have is cap space.

Lakers don't have the assets either. Portland's gonna trade LMA for over-the-hill Gasol or near-retirement Nash or recovering-from-achilles-surgery Kobe?

I see Houston as the biggest threat.

This is why you give up Noah if you really want LMA. Aldridge is going to be dealt and Asik and pieces is something I can see Portland doing. Portland really wants Jo and I don't see any team beating an Noah offer.

Would the Bulls consider a Deng and Hamilton for Lopez and Gordon?

No, but I would.
Lopez/taj
Aldridge/boozer/taj
Butler/dunleavy
Gordon/hinrich
Rosé/hinrich

Great balance, though if we lose noah we may need to keep both butler and deng to maintain our defensive identity. But, we can afford the high risk high reward on Gordon by losing injury prone deng and Noah.
We have Martell Webster. He's called Kyle Korver here, and we shall love him and squeeze him and call him Ashton. -BrooklynBulls

LMA is a special talent. Go get him!

You need a #2 option. Offer them Noah an Bobcats pick for Aldridge

Rose
Butler
Deng
Booz
LMA

That's a great team. Aldridge can play center vs the Heat just fine.

If we exchange Noah for Aldridge, we would need to start taj over boozer.

But perhaps if we take on the salary of Lopez from the pelicans, we amnesty boozer this year to offset the cost?

The biggest part of the trade is that you get that 2nd option that derrick needs

Who is going to be that center?

Free agent centers next year
Andrew Bogut
Marcin Gortat
Pau Gasol
Zach Randolph (LMA play C)
Spencer Hawes
Emeka Okafor

Guys that could be traded for...Nene, Varejoa

2015 free agents
Tyson Chandler
Asik
Hibbert
DeAndre Jordan
Perkins

Someone would deff come here with Rose an LMA as our 2 best players

-Andrew Bogut just like Noah, Deng and pretty much majority of our roster to injury prone.

-Gortat is intriguing will he come here? That is a maybe but not guaranteed.

-Pau Gasol not a true center even though he can play that position. But if it was years ago I will say yeah but now he is to old, and he is slowly declining no thanks.

-Zach Randolph is not a center he is a power forward, and no

-Spencer Hawes will be a solid pick up but he and LMA together? Meh he will be a solid backup for us though.

-Emeka makes me goes hmmm...........and interesting but like I say about Gortat not guarantee.

-Nene is injury prone, in his 30s, and have an awful contract no thanks

-Varejoa I believe he is expiring and off the book next summer I think? I might be wrong. Wouldn't be against it even though I kinda worry for his health since the last two years or so he have been down with the injury. But again Noah is also injury prone but we better off keeping Noah than open a big hole in that position.

As for 2015 ok so let's wait until 2015 then if doesn't work out for next summer! Cmon man! Unless I read it wrong. But let's talk about 2015 anyways

-Tyson Chandler wouldn't mind bringing him back but for only a reasonable deal he is in his early 30s now.

-Asik wouldn't mind bringing him back but I rather keep Noah than trade Noah for LMA and wait for a couple years to filled that position if next year can't find a center.

-Hibbert contract isn't off the book until 2016 or 2017.

-DeAndre Jordan I believe his contract is off the book until 2015 or 2016 but I am not 100% sure on that. I wouldn't mind him if it's for a reasonable deal but like I say I rather keep Noah than trade Noah for LMA and wait to get an actual center until the year after that and so on.

-Perkins? No just no.

Noah an Bobcats pick for Aldridge, they don't need Butler, they have Matthews an Batum

Portland has been searching for replacements since the draft. Talking to Pekovic an Kaman, plus they have Hickson, Leonard an Withey now. I think Portland would trade him

Seriously? They're seriously going to be ok with dealing Noah?

To hear that actually breaks my heart a little. Noah is perhaps my favorite player in the whole league.

It warms mine. This proves that they're more worried about winning than playing favorites.

I don't think Boozer will be on the team if we got LMA

I'd take Leonard and start him

Rose, Butler, Deng, LMA and Leonard starting with Kirk, Dunleavy, Gibson and whatever you net for the Booz.

Obviously if you can get a better C then Leonard you do it, but worst case is you start him.

Is the difference between aldridge and Boozer really a player of the caliber of noah?

I'm not so sure about that.

Show me how many LaMarcus Aldridge type players the Bulls can get? 20 & 10 an still in his prime

There not available because you don't get rid of those type players. All you need next to LMA is a defensive center that can you 8-10ppg 8-9reb
