No he didn't, not even close.

WHAT

Taj and Asik finished every game, please back me up bulls board.

Go back and look at the box scores, I did that already for all 7 games we played Miami that year, and Asik only finished ONCE, in a 20-point blowout.

he's just not for us. i dont like his offensive game too much, nor do i like his defense.

But put Gortat next to LMA, Taj and say Brand. That is championship good.

It's Boozer and Mohammed in the playoffs. Noah is not a healthy Noah in the playoffs. Don't know why people keep on overlooking this. Noah is never healthy when we need him.

I'm sure this has been discussed, but would something like Deng, Taj, Teague, The Charlotte Pick, and maybe a future 1st not interest the rebuilding Trail Blazers?

Convince Portland.

That's the issue. Everyone's so gung ho about dealing Deng now, but his value doesn't look to be as high to anchor a deal for someone like Aldridge. Noah is the Bulls best non-Rose asset. Teams see that and they want him, if it means giving up their best player.

Portlands not gonna do it.

There is one particular situation in which I am OK with swapping LMA for Noah. We sign Zaza Pachulia AND Elton Brand to vet minimums. And then we amnesty Boozer.

Frontcourt:

PF: LMA (24) / Taj (16) / Brand (6)
C : Zaza (26) / LMA (14) / Committe of Nazr, Taj, Brand (8)

Thats a crowded but necessary frontcourt in order to retain Chicago defense while adding championship style offense.

Would rather just keep Noah and Boozer honestly and just take my chances in the next year or 2

You weren't supposed to do that. :wavefinger:

I'd be curious on the Taj/Boozer split, probably more situational. Typically Noah finished unless he was injured/playing poorly/foul trouble/Asik doing great. Which did happen.

Just...not every game.

This is an exaggeration.

Noah played through his injury this season and in game 7 against the Nets he guaranteed a victory and then went out and put up 24/14/6 blocks on 70% FG. He comes through when we need him. He is not the problem vs Miami or anyone else.

And yet I'm still on the fence about this potential deal.

They don't want Deng because they have Batum and Matthews, and they want a center, which is why they want Noah.

Portland fan here with a quick point of input:

You're all discussing swapping LMA for Noah and what that means for your lineup. But that's not the trade that would go down, Portland isn't going to trade LMA for Noah straight up. Nothing to do with talent, everything to do with injuries. I don't want a perennially injured center on our team if it means we give up LMA. The starting point to trade discussions would be Noah + Butler, or Noah + CHA pick + other future assets.

I don't think CHI gets LMA in the end, frankly. I don't think you have the assets we would be looking for since I doubt you'll give up Noah and Butler for LMA.

i think thibs/management is going to take extra precautions for noah, rose and the older players. surely they are discussing this as it has been such a season defining issue for the past 3 years now

Yeah I get that. But Deng is a big expiring and its likely the picks we include will lead to a productive center for them in a year or two. Why should they give an F about being good this year with the loaded draft next year?

I mean, even if they get Noah, he will likely have the same complaints as Aldridge.

Yeah, it's horrible when actual, verifiable FACTS get in the way of Bulls' fans trying to show that ex-Bulls' players were/are better than current Bulls' players. On the Bulls' board.

At least I got a very hearty MFing laugh out of it.

of course a star player is going to complain when they are put on a garbage team whose management allows them to have basically zero future

I'm in no way saying Snell was the wrong choice at 20, but if we had picked Dieng instead it would've made it a little more easier to trade Noah for LMA. Would it not? But I digress.

I really want to hold on to Noah. Really bad.

It looks like Dwight is going to go to Houston. If he really wants to make a basketball decision and win, he goes to Houston. In such a case, doesn't Taj look like a damn good fit next to Dwight, rather than Asik behind Dwight? Does Houston do a Taj-Asik deal, thus making Joakim...expendable...for Aldridge?

Maybe Asik can just get flipped to Portland?

You want shooters around Dwight. LMA is a better shooter than Taj. If Asik can get LMA, why does Houston not do that themselves?

I don't guarantee much, but I'm willing to bet anything, anywhere, any time that the Bulls' front office will not, in a million years, trade Noah for Aldridge.

if houston is able to land dwight, i am almost certain they will be looking to get rid of asik asap. with his future salary in his current contract, there's no reason to keep him. they aren't being hasty because they are leaving their options open if they dont get D12.

Hou can just go after Aldridge. I'm sure they prefer him over Taj.

I would be comfortable with Taj and Butler going out in return for LMA. Taj going to Houston and Asik and Butler going to Portland.

Return to Chicago Bulls
