Willie Green's option picked up

Post#1 » by Neddy » Thu Jul 4, 2013 5:04 am

@DanWoikeSports: Willie Green has had his team option picked up. #Clippers

like the move. willie is cheap and is very capable borderline starter.
now we have 8 guaranteed contracts, 1 partially guaranteed contract, and 2 non guaranteed contracts.

CP3-------Maalik(non-g)
JJR-------Jamal--------Green
dudley---bullock-----summers(non-g)
blake-----Davies(partial-g)
DJ

need a PG, a better C/PF option than last year's. if we resign barnes, i fully expect to cut summers.
ehhhhh f it.

I had a link to this in the offseason thread. I'm glad that he's back for another season. He was my whipping boy at first, but he's exactly the type of player that you want on your team.

I like Wayns too. He didn't see too much time, but was solid when he was in. I wouldn't mink keeping him, but I still want a legit backup pg.

I don't expect us to keep Summers. Davies could end up being a nice project.

I'm in agreement with mk that Green is the type of player that you want on your team. You know that he can come in and fill in nicely at the two-guard role at any point of the season and will probably not miss a beat. Another year with CP3 will continue to add to their chemistry in the backcourt as well.

One of the more critical mistakes we made last year was being loyal to Chauncey in our starting lineup and not going with Willie even though he was better last season.

i like it if he stays.
i like moving him as an expiring.
solid move.

Brandon Davies from BYU, I would really like to make fun of this kid, but I can't. I speak daily about how we as a society take no responsibility for our actions, this kid did. Davies went as far a s to admit he broke the BYU school's rules, took the punishment, then went back to school and his team, while many were cracking jokes about him.
I hope he makes the Clips, he may be Grant Hill's replacement for ethics & integrity; I hope he has a good Summer League & Training Camp.

Willie Green....................... yea, I love that move. Starter or last bench player, the guy is a PRO!

Davies was the one two punch with Jimmer. Think he could surprise.
