Did I mention already one the reasons I hate this deal is it attracts more flies to our shyt?

We got enough of our own to deal with on this board...we don't need imports.

With this move the knicks will have all the flexibility they will need to rebuild in 2015. In the meantime they will compete for the championship. They were actually not that far off last year. Contrary to popular belief, Novak was somewhat of an x factor for the knicks, when Novak made his shots the record was almost perfect. The problem with Novak is when he is not open, he is useless. And by useless I mean a liability in every facet of the game. Then suddenly his shot became inconsistent even when he was open. If only we got anything from Novak, we would have got past the Pacers. Like Novak, Bargs can shoot and spread the offense, unlike Novak however, he can create his own shot, take it in, and draw fouls. He will give us what Novak couldn't but we needed desperately, so if this is a move to make sure we can have a more productive Novak (and probably even Wallace) then not only was this a good move, it was a critical one. He also passes and plays man D better than Novak. In addition, the knicks set themselves up nicely for 2015, and the price for all of this was a late 1st rounder. Sounds like a decent gamble to me.

Once you guys re-sign JR Smith, you'll realize that you guys are the definition of a treadmill team.
Will never be good enough to contend for a championship and every year get kicked out of the playoff team by either a better team (Miami, Chicago) or a young upcoming athletic team that ACTUALLY play defense and are not filled with chuckers

I would rather be in toronto's position rather than NY where i'm overpaying players and our so called 'franchaise player' that we gave up multiple picks for is an overweight chucker

You'll realize what we mean mid-season.

Have fun fellas

Yes he is an excellent free throw shooter and good at drawing fouls,in this video against Golden State he made a good pass and a block.

Toronto is in the epitome of no-man's land. Their current core will not get them out of the first round and they are too good to get a top 5 pick. What am I missing here?

yeah he looked greatin that game but the context of it is sort of out of place. He struggled with confidence all year and at the end his team was doing everything they could to get him going so that he looked good and was showcased.

i'm one of the few who still thought he could be an asset. his game is really awkward and unorthodox, sometimes it looks like he's having a seizure the way he jab steps and pump fakes. he has above average 1 on 1 post defense and can drive and finish. but other then that he has zero hustle, weak side defense, screening ability, rebounding, etc.

i just dont think he cares about winning, i think he's content being from Italy and in the nba. there is no drive or desire in him to be the best or even better then what he is. he never seemed to bond with any team mates or show any emotion other then a half smile so even if someone wanted to pick him up they couldn't because his expression and body language was numb.

you guys would have been better off with gallinari, he's a much better player then bargs. for me bargs is a 6th man who should play against bench players.

This is nonsense that Bargniani has no desire. He does not show his emotions very well that's it.He loved Toronto and his team mates. Now Toronto is going to get player that don't want to be there.

thanks for the post... but i'm not sure why you make it seem like we had a choice between bargs and gallo. it was a choice between gallo and melo... which we obviously made the right decision on.

i think bargs will start, but he'll be the first guy to the bench for JR or amare.

Either why Im fine with it..I would just think that if that was to happen there might be dis harmony in the locker room....special if Amare is healthy and read to go.You could hear the rumbling starting already towards the end of the season with Amare comments....

from what i understand amare will be on a 20 minute limit the entire season and sit out the 2nd game of back to backs... so i don't think we'll start a guy that can only play 20 minutes.

i agree with you though. i could see JR being upset about bargs getting to start over him... but maybe woody will pitch the idea to him about winning 6th man of the year again.

i think bargs is a better fit offensively between melo and chandler than amare is. i think amare will do very well in the same role he had last year, coming in and punishing teams' benches.
