Not actively but I don't see Joe overpaying for FA's just for the sake of acquiring FA. I have to hope that he's learned that lesson. If we strike out in FA and trades, which I think is likely, we wont field a competitive team.

There's a rule that requires teams to use 90% of the cap. So how do you plan on spending like 15 mil and not fielding a competitive team. If my math is correct we are required to spend 15 of our 21 mil in order to meet the 52 mil cap minimum. Its hard to add 15 mil in talent to any team and not make a significant improvement on the court.

Now we, too, are at the crossroads.

Tanking might be best for the organization....but how much will it piss off Monroe, Knight, Drummond, and the rest of the youngsters to be losers again. Too many years losing in a row can't be good for the core's mentality.

Tank is not an option. THIS IS DUMARS CONTRACT YEAR. HE WILL SPEND.

There are teams that are doing some heavy tanking this year. There is a very little chance we finish eight or below. And the free agency class? Who are these guys? Lebron, Wade, Melo, Kobe are not coming to Detroit. Our best chance to get decent pieces is this year.

Unless Dumars pulls off a miracle, we might be stuck re-signing our own guys. Everyone else is fading fast.
