Grade Your Front Office
How do you like how this offseason has gone so far with the three team deal in place to bring in Greivis Vasquez

It's hard to tell what their direction is atm. They brought in a good PG (who actually passes) and created a lot of cap space. Have to wait to see what else they do with all the $$.

Re: Grade Your Front Office
Since the draft was pure luck, D+, but it's still got time. Could easily turn into an A and getting space rather than Lopez is a huge start for them to fill that SF spot and now Iggy level players could be back in play.

Re: Grade Your Front Office
I will reserve judgement for now.
But looking at it as is, drafting BML is a good choice, McCallum is yet to be determine (more guards!! argh). Evans was never in their vision (shakes head) and decided to S&T him for Vasquez (meh). And now, we are left with cap space.
I hope they will use the cap space appropriately (SF SF SF SF SF).

This should be at the top of the list for the FO.
But last time I heard, Bulls are giving Deng an extension??

Re: Grade Your Front Office
My concern is ALL of these moves are contingent on DMC working out.

This teams only hope was always DMC working out. Just like with any team, your most talented player will take you wherever you will go. Now to get him some help....hopefully.

This is what I'm afraid of.
As much I pull for DMC, I don't know if he can realize his potential before he can decide to bolt out of Sacramento.
I hope this guy has been working hard throughout the summer and correct a lot of his flaws in his game.

Don't know how getting a different squad around Cousins is going to make him finish better at the rim.

Well...considering how many chances he's had to step up and just be that player, if we're looking at history, it's safe to say he'll never be a franchise player.
I really would have liked the Kings to have just seen what the coaching changes would have brought to the team before blowing it up. That is a big gripe of mine.

Don't know how paying 11M a year for Evans was going to help, either.

Im gonna go with a D- at the moment they completely threw away an asset in lopez. He is also exactly the type of player the kings could use.
Terrible off season so far.

Because he was the best player on the team?

I know plenty of good counselors that can help DMC. Forget the on the court help!

And yet we haven't won more than 30 games the entire time Evans was here. He got a bigger offer than expected, we decided not to match, got a good PG in return and it's time to move on. Let's see what happens next.

Cousins took us from 25 wins to 28 in the three years he's been here.

Actually I'm not sure if the 3 win improvement is because or in spite of Cousins.
