Could be. The one thing that would really hurt would be if Charlotte signed him and he provided the extra little edge to give us their draft pick next year instead of a better pick a year or more hence.

Don't they already have their Nate in Kemba Walker??

Well Kemba's their starter. Nate would be a backup, as he would be on just about any team that were to sign him. I can't think of any team on which he would start. Although Miami could start him and wreak havoc on the rest of the league. I have to rely on whatever little bit of karma we Chicago fans may have left in the universe for that not to happen.

To start off the season, Murphy or Teague. Then it's whoever is injured.

Ouch. We would be taking a huge chance if any of our bigs get hurt. Would make more sense on another center, but it looks like Nate will be back if he hasn't signed yet.

Nate and LeBron running the fast break might be too much to handle even for Thibs. I think Nate's impact is great when he has another ball handler next to him. That's why I feel Kemba/Nate combo will not work(too small) but Rose/Nate might work well for some time.

I would give up watching basketball if Nate joined the Heat.

I think Nate comes back..he'll realize Chicago is the best place for him.

Be with the Bucks behind Jennings and Udrich or be with the Bulls behind Rose and Hinrich (who gets injured a lot).

If he signs here we send Teague to D-League..guy needs playing time to work on his horrible shot. Hopefully he's already doing this.

A silver lining here is that at least Gar and Thibs value Nate enough to want him on the team. Seeing that Nate's defense is suspect, he didn't get to start last year, Rose is back, and the Bulls valued Dunleavy more, I was concerned that they might not want him at all.

Guys I know nate was amazing last season and we all love him but lets not over rate him..He was fantastic at scoring/shooting,making big shots in crunch time, and bringing energy but he wasnt great in controlling the team as a point to get guys like boozer involved and he just cant defend because hes too short. So in a game he may have scored 30 but maybe gave up just as much at the same time on the Defensive end...Thats why bulls are not going all out to pay Nate, especially cause position is filled..If he accepts for the minimum again,he would be the back up shooting guard to whoever starts, which is fine but wouldnt a guy like delfino be more useful at that position? Just a thought, personally it would be awsome for nate to return,he actually liked this team and city a lot,and i respect him for scoring on these "giants" compared to him,its really impressive.

If the money is close, I think he'd choose the Bulls. I hope so, at least.

Fate is throwing us a bone more and more each day. All the teams we originally heard about possibly grabbing him keep making moves that make it likely they won't take him. If we can get a situation where the money would be similar whether he left or stayed, I like our chances.

The Bulls should be reaching out to and/or applying pressure to local Chicago businesses to give Nate some endorsement deals upon re-signing with us.

Vs a Deron Williams maybe, but that is why Nate wasn't an ideal starter. Even then he played Deron to a draw one game in stats. But when we can bring him off the bench, you never give him a matchup like that who can take great advantage of him. George Hill isn't gonna score 30 off him or someone like that, your average PG. Let alone bench backups.

Resigning him is key to having a very legit bench

I'm getting more hopeful by the day, but the D12 losers are going to have a lot of cap space to spend, so I could see one of them spending some on Nate, especially a big, one-year deal.

Nate and Rose under thibs will not play together. Nate is terrible on d. He is to short from contesting shots and struggled keeping anyone out of the lane.

I hope he signs elsewhere.

Good teams that had MMLE and were looking at him have went other directions. We offered him the veteran minimum. Basically Nate has a tough decision IMO. Does he go for the money on a sucky team or does he take less for a winner.

Hopefully Boozey was able to convince him to stay. He seems to have a good relationship with a few guys on the team.

Hey Ralph, have you heard anything new on the Elton Brand front? Do you think we are still going to try and get him for the vet min or does the Nazr resigning signal that we are done with our front court?
