Zaza is a true 7 footer...I'd take him if we can't get Oden.

I would take Zaza in a heart beat. These players are grown ass men - I'm sure UD and him could make up if they were fighting for the same team and the same goal.

I would for sure think about how much you hate him - he will do that to all our opponents

Zaza and Udonis only hate each other because they're both so passionate, like someone else said if they were on the same team they'd probably be best friends if they could get around the language barrier.

Dalembert / Oden / Zaza

That's my order I'd like them in. We need to get one of them.

Yeah I would think once Zaza was on the actual team, he and UD would probably be best friends. Zaza is a guy you hate to play against, but you love on your team. He would be a game-changing pickup if the Heat could get him. An irritating legit 7 footer who would come in and bother the crap out of guys like Hibbert.

We would get in so many more fights next year haha.

I would definitely prefer Zaza to Dalembert everyday of the week. His rotations defensively always seem pretty smart, and offensively he has a nice little mid-range jumper, and can finish in the paint. He's a two way big who runs the floor pretty well. If we rolled into next season with birdman and zaza as our center rotation, I think that would solve our center problems going forward. And we would have the most irritating center rotation in the league.

It's funny--but if we somehow get even an average NBA center next season no one in the league can even touch us. That is our only weakness, and all of these teams in the east that are built to try and exploit our center weakness are suddenly irrelevant. Particularly because none of them besides Brooklyn have a great low post game. Hibbert...I don't know what happened to him in our series. Suddenly he was Hakeem Russell--but having a legit 7 footer in there probably deads that.

By Ira Winderman
South Florida Sun Sentinel
MIAMI—
Q: Do you see Samuel Dalembert as a possibility? And do you see Jarvis Varnado developing into another Birdman? -- Adrian, Greenville, Texas.

A: I can't tell you how many times in recent years that Dalembert, who has South Florida ties, has been linked to the Heat, and how many times either the lack of a significant offer or the lack of a promise of playing time has led him elsewhere. And that's the thing, the last thing the Heat need is a part-time player concerned about playing time. To a degree, that is what made the Heat so successful during the postseason, players such as Mike Miller, Shane Battier, Udonis Haslem and Chris Andersen appreciating that there could be time when there would be no playing time. The concern with Dalembert is that such a role might lead to more headaches than he's worth. As for Varnado, he is far too raw to get any Birdman-like read.

The thing is Varnado isn't even young anymore, almost all of his development is finished and he still sucks on the offensive end, do not want. He's 25 for christ sakes, he has maybe one more year of development if that before he's a finished product and he's not NBA worthy.

Agree with both of you on Varnado. No offensive game and he's awfully thin to be much of a force on defense

Yeah, I'd rather take a chance on pretty much anyone else other than Varnado.

I would go Zaza / Dalembert=Oden. Zaza here would be perfect, has a nice offensive game but on defense is where he would make us really good.

For those asking about Chris Andersen... the last I've got is that Heat's still confident it will secure him. May be a few more days.

Is Zaza a FA? If he is, I'm not sure he's quite at a point in his career where he'd accept the minimum.

Im not big on Zaza at all. he's a decent rebounder but the rest of his game is totally meh. can't really score and doesn't protect the rim.

Just want to hear we got Birdman back, then Oden/Dally/Zaza in the order.
