Jeff Teague?

I think Teague is being undervalued and if we can get him at about 7-8 per it could be a steal, look at this comp between Mike Conley and Jeff Teague

Teague is great and had some great games against Detroit.

I like him but I feel like he's not an option because he's an RFA... Atlanta will match a reasonable offer even if they are tanking... We'd have to give him $40 million over 4 years IMO for Atlanta to not match.

He's a slightly above average stating PG.

That's why I started the ATL S&T thread.

If DWIGHT doesn't select to go there, and Smith and Teague want out, they could go all-in for Wiggins and tank.

Smith/Teague for Knight and fillers

Or Teague for Knight/fillers

We'd be better off offering a little more than he's worth and keeping Knight and and hoping ATL doesn't match.

Teague at $8 mil per and no Knight or Teague at $10 mil per and Knight is an easy choice IMO.

Amnesty CV, Offer Smith $60 over 4 and Teague $40 over 4 and use the little we have left for a backup big man.

C:Drummond/Monroe
PF:Monroe/Smith
SF:Smith/Singler
SG:Stuckey/Kentavious
PG:Teague/Knight

If Knight earns more minutes or if he works next to Teague let him play some SG too.

I was intrigued by this comparison-- lots of the numbers are very similar-- until I noticed that the Conley numbers are from between 2008-13. Conley wasn't a good starter during that period, and he only became an above average starter this year.

I don't mean to say that you're not right about Teague potentially being a good get, bu but it just that it doesn't seem smart to assume that since Conley got a lot better his sixth season, Teague will too. Totally different players, totally different situations.

Spending $60M on a FA to play him out of position and starting Stuckey - that's the Dumars I know.

I would LOVE to get Teague. We would be pretty solid at every position accept SF!!! I think Mitchell could easily be what we need at SF!!

Try and offer Teague 7-8 million per year, and Atlanta will match that in a heart beat.

It's going to take something like 4/45 to get him.

No thanks. I would stick with Knight and continue focus efforts on acquiring a good SF, our true position of need.

It is funny how wide spread people have written off Knight. I still think he can be a very good player.

Reportedly, Hou-ATL working on Asik/Lin for Smith, which means they would be done with Teague.

Id love to get Teague as our starting PG, hes a much better PG than Brandon and would end the Burke sadness. He can hit the 3, pass the ball- averages 7 assists to 3 TOs and is an average defender. Would be a good signing and a much needed upgrade at the PG spot.

Id consider a 4/28 deal more than fair for Teague. It would free us up to move Brandon in a package for a SF (Green or Harkless?)

Dery seems to suggest the Pistons might have interest in Teague along with Jack.

ESPN is stating that the Hawks are going after Monta hard. If they land him, I think its safe to say that Teague will be looking for a new home.

I will be ecstatic if Joe is able to land Teague this offseason and swing a trade for another shooting wing.

Teague would be a nice compliment player. BK's ceiling is a rich mans teague, so them sharing minutes would provide another unique dynamic

^ Me too.

J. Teague/B. Knight/P. Siva
K. Caldwell-Pope/R. Stuckey/K. English
J. Smith/K. Singler/K. Middleton
G. Monroe/J. Jerebko/C. Villanueva
A. Drummond/G. Monroe/Slava

Mitchell/Siva/Slava probably end up in the d-league. Wouldn't mind amnestying CV and possibly cutting Stuckey if we can land another scoring wing.

11-man rotation? 9-man rotation with English/Middleton getting few minutes and racking up DNP-CD.

J. Teague/B. Knight
K. Caldwell-Pope/scoring wing/K. English
J. Smith/K. Singler/K. Middleton
G. Monroe/J. Smith/J. Jerebko
A. Drummond/G. Monroe

Brandon Knight (21)

1st - GP: 66 GS: 60 MPG: 32.3 PPG: 12.8 FG%: .415 3PT%: .380 REB: 3.2 AST: 3.8 TO: 2.6

2nd - GP: 75 GS: 75 MPG: 31.5 PPG: FG%: .407 3PT%: .367 REB: 3.3 AST: 4.0 TO: 2.7

Jeff Teague (25)

1st - GP: 71 GS: 3 MPG: 10.1 PPG: 3.2 FG%: .396 3PT%: .219 REB: .9 AST: 1.7 TO: .7

2nd - GP: 70 GS: 7 MPG: 13.8 PPG: 5.2 FG%: .438 3PT%: .375 REB: 1.5 AST: 2.0 TO: .9

3rd - GP: 66 GS: 66 MPG: 33.1 PPG: 12.6 FG%: .476 3PT%: .342 REB: 2.4 AST: 4.9 TO: 2.0

4th - GP: 80 GS: 78 MPG: 32.9 PPG: 14.6 FG%: .451 3PT%: .359 REB: 2.3 AST: 7.2 TO: 2.9

The most important number is 21 vs 25.

Knight will be better than teague in the next year or two and it took two seasons for teague to even start regularly.
