I honestly do not think he's a positive leader and do not think he will ever be - If he's gonna control that lockerroom and given such power, I can't help by think this will not end well for us from all I've seen of DeMarcus.

Bogut is never healthy tho.

In the past 5 years, he's missed 44% of the games. In the past 3 years, he's had TS%'s of .496, .465, and .463.

You should definitely go after him, since after letting go of Evans, and stopping pursuit of Iggy, the FO seems to making the bold move to attempt to never win a game again.

You are only talking a one-year rental and a boatload of cap space next year with some really prime FA's available and a whole lot of teams that are NOT going to want to take on the full brunt of the new CBA tax hits on their overage.

I think it's an acceptable risk both building around DMC and putting the onus on HIM to prove that he can mature into the franchise cornerstone BEFORE he is maxed out next year. Also trying out Bogut next to him and seeing if he can finally stay mostly healthy.

Worst case scenario, it implodes, and we get a top pick in the best draft in a while and go up from their with a very young and cap open roster.
