This did seen like a great time to use it though. Having THREE 2014 1sts and maybe THREE 2017 1sts would've been pretty insane.

I don't think the deal did anything to hinder our fabricated chances in the 2014 FA. People talk about having room in 2014 like there is some wild crop of UFA's that we could sign to become favorites. I looked over the 2014 list and couldn't find anything viable.

i think dwight wants gs now after the trade. he still has to leave houston there though for leverage against la now that gs doesn't have the cap to get him outright.

Just throwing some stuff out there, not that we should be interested but just to show you what's possible..

Dallas, missing out on Dwight might want to go for say Ellis and Smith.. They need to drop Marion to make it happen, we take him on and get Larkin in the process..

OKC wants to get rid of Perkins but is too cheap to buy him out, we take him on and add Jeremy Lamb..

Houston gets Dwight and also wants to add Smith but Atlanta doesn't want a S/T so we take Lin and Asik

I repeat, I'm not saying we should do deals like this, it's just to get an idea of possibilities.. And there will be more minor opportunities.
