Three years goes fast and this signing doesn't prevent the Bucks from doing other things like say Redd or RJ's contract did.

RJ's contract didn't prove to be an issue. Hammond had the opportunity to trade it at the first deadline and subsequently unloaded it for very good value the following offseason.

Oh ****. That entire organization spent Jan through June panaced about what to do with Sessions, Ersan and not even cap space for draft picks under the lux tax at all. RJ's contract **** the payroll for a year.

It proved to be a potentially quickly and easily movable deal. I don't view it on the same level as ones like Gadz and Gooden which were impossible to move the second they were signed.

Getting him for 3 years is huge. Short enough contract to keep him motivated for his next one.

I'm skeptical, but this could have been far worse. I'm even surprised that he signed for this size contract. The 3 year part of this is key. As JC notes, this could help keep the motivation going. If he underperforms next season, it's still a small enough deal, where he should still be tradeable.

I will be more impressed if Jennings is gone.

This is a good move... Mayo will produce for us and at least has a chance to improve from his past numbers factoring his age and having more of a role with the Bucks than he did his last couple years with the Grizzlies.

Thank god Monta Ellis saved the bucks from their own stupidity and declined that 2 year extension. I like Mayo much, much more.

Now if we can add Jeff Teague/Devon Harris/Aminu/ we could have something solid.

Right now John's freaking out and calling OJ's management directly to beat the offer with 4 years/$44 mill; gotta outbid whoever that other team is.

Ellis is officially gone and Denver is in the lead. As said earlier Wilson Chandler makes sense in a deal. Otherwise they sign Ellis outright, and the Bucks sign Brewer who should have been the number 2 choice behind Noah when drafting Yi.
