Post#1 » by Kilo » Sat Jul 6, 2013 7:00 pm

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 33s

Josh Smith has agreed to a four year, $56 million deal with the Detroit Pistons, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Works out to $14M per season. Tell me how bad this is now.

We only have $4M to spend left. Any PG would have to be via trade. I don' think Jack comes for $4M. How did Teague and Smith play together?

I still like Knight as our point guard to tell you the truth.

Blazer fan's opinion:

Bad -- i mean what is it with your Front office they get money and feel they have to go spend it on players who do not fit or just get players who have some talent and over pay them. How did Ben Gordon and Charlie V signings work out last time you guys had a good amount of money to spend ?

Answer - Not very well and i think this will be a tad better but not much

I hope 4th year is somehow a team option, but I'm not holding my breath.

He's better than any other option we had. The contract is not that bad.

Terrible, this means Drummond will hit the bench.

You know it and I know it, Smith as a SF with Monroe and Dre inside is not going to work.

It's really a stupid signing, and just to lose the pick for sure to the Bobcats.

Dumars is just hopeless.

We can drop CV if we wanted more money. We will upgrade via trades from here on out.

What would you guys think about Rondo for Drummond, filler, and a pick?

We had 21 mil to start in FA. This only takes 14 mil, so we should have 7 mil left right?

Plus we don't know how this contract will be balanced it could be escalating and only take up 11-12 mil this year.

We still have money to sign a legit PG. Or perhaps trade for one (Rondo)

YES! Wow
Monroe
Drummond
Smith

That is amongst the best in the NBA. If Drummond develops into the player everyone knows he can be, watch out.
This team just needs a real PG now, or for Knight to develop some solid passing ability

I'm happy about this, it's a great bigman rotation, now we just need shooters on the perimeter

No chance. Rondo would have to be Knight, filler and a pick.

I don't see it happening though.

I was thinking $16 million, but 14 isn't that bad. Overpaid nonetheless, but so is everyone these days.

Decent plug at the 3. Detroit still needs more shooting.

Well done Joe, I knew you'd screw this up somehow.

lol I feel so bad for Monroe & Drummond, what a setback.
