Wow...Smith clearly isn't to concerned with winning.

Although, that is just one more mediocre team in the East that won't be competing for a top pick.

1st: There is a high chance that we get Andrew Wiggins, Jabari Parker, Marcus Smart, Julius Randle, or Dante Exum next year. So, there is about a 25% that we can get Wiggins unless we really play well next season.
2nd: I completely agree. I don't really like Afflalo, but he is better then some people give him credit for.
3rd: I agree.

I wonder if Josh Smith will start at Small Forward, or if they will have him at Power Forward and have Monroe at Center? If they do that though then that would mean Drummond would be coming off that bench.

More to the point, Dumars really wants to be fired!

Knight
Stucky
Smith
Monroe
Drummond

That would be the worst offensive team in the league :o

I think you guys underestimate the value AA and Harrington provided in the locker room. All of our rookies said they learned tons from Afflalo and Al, throughout the year. I'm sure we want to flips those vets for good assets, but having them here hasn't hurt us in any way to warrant complaints.

I wonder who Detroit will bring in at PG.

Maybe they would have some interest in Jameer for their 2016 pick?

I see a Drummond, Monroe, Smith starting lineup.

Nothing but 12,11.5 and 8 million dollars EXTRA in capspace in the next three years, other then that....yeah...

There's a reason team routinely give up mid-late 1st rounders to dump contracts that are much smaller then 11-12 million. That pick is NOT worth 11,12.5 and 8 million dollars of capspace for the next 3 years.

1) Afflalo is a an asset, not a burden on cap space. If he is traded his salary will automatically be dumped. He can be traded for a mid-late first rounder or a young asset + second rounder. He has that value. There is no reason to think his contract as a 3 year burden on Magic cap-space.... Even if he is not traded, he is still a good player on a reasonable contract. There is no way you can think his contract as same as Harrington's contract...

2) If Afflalo was not here, I do not think that the trade that gave us Tobias Harris would happen, and we would have to overpay Redick ... That would be the real EXTRA burden on cap-space...

3) Igoudala's playing time would hamper that of Harkless.

4) Henny did a good job in that trade by ending Dwightmare and starting rebuild.

They got better. Yes...but they are far from even being considered a good team. They are still a below .500 team.

The Hennigan doubters are amazing. Really? Nobody can doubt that we ARE in an awesome position going forward. And not any GM/peer would do this. As great as Presti is, he got **** in that Harden deal.

Exactly. This whole cap space thing that Neon keeps talking about is rubbish (I relish any opportunity to use that word).

Guess how much money we will have committed the first summer than any of Hark, Harris, Vuc, Nicholson, O'Quinn, or Oladipo are able to hit FA?

0.0 Million Dollars.

I think we will be OK.

They'll contend for 7th or 8th playoff spot I think. Will be them, Cavs, Wizards, maybe Hawks for 6,7,8.

And that is perfect for us. Make all the bottom dwelling teams mediocre should be the secondary plan.

Everyone in the East has a shot to compete for those spots...including us. The East is THAT bad.

At least two teams under .500 will make the playoffs, if not 3.

The problem is : Hennigan has given hope to fans, and fans remained patient. Now they want more than hope. People want to see more concrete steps about being a contender in 2015.

Well....i'm thinking it helps that they picked up Kentavious in the draft and i'm sure he will be put to good use. CJ Mcollum would have been a great leader and scorer on this team....but KCP is also a great option. If i was them i would try and pry Goran Dragic from phoenix to control my offense. they even still have money to pick up another pg

Dragic
KCP
Smith
Monroe
Drummond.

that's a pretty good defensive team especially!
