Great pick up though. With the bench we have i think a pass first point guard is perfect.

Williams/Livingston/Taylor
Johnson/Terry/
Pierce/Bogdanovic/
Garnett/Evans/Teletovic
Lopez/Blatche/Plumlee

If we're signing 14 players, who gets the last roster spot?

Thank goodness. That rules out anything Nets and Telfair related rumors.

Sadly, that's the only way people will remember him. But he's getting his career back on track.

He averaged 7 points, 3 assists, shot 50% FG, 55 TS% in 23 minutes. He doesn't shoot threes though.

Lol he's coming home.

Look at it this way tho, he might go to the Knicks.

Here is a better look at him. I see why Kidd wanted him signed.

I really like this signing. He's a PG with some size, which is perfect on a 2nd unit next to Terry. Also his style, at a much lower caliber of course, is similar to Kidd's so I think Kidd is probably the coach to get the most out of him.

Agreed, but the Nets not singing Telfair makes more of an impact to the team though. Knicks already have a confirmed 2nd string backup PG.

Underrated signing. Kidd really loves big PG's and Shaun is a great facilitator...

The only thing left to do is sign Bogdanovic and we're set. Though I still want Delfino on the team.

He's a really poor fit, but I suppose the pickings were slim. But a complete nonshooter doesn't work well with all the ball handlers we have, especially since JJ or PP will be playing with the bench most of the time and running the offense.

I don't know last season we had to overplay JJ because of how bad our playmaking off the bench was. I'd rather have someone that knows how to run a team instead of looking to to score himself.

It's more a question of spacing than anything else. Any time Livingston doesn't have the ball in his hands he's an offensive liability, and we have a ton of players that need the ball. For the vet minimum you hope what else he brings will make up for it, but he fits poorly with the rest of our roster. Too bad we couldn't keep Watson.

He can actually cut to the rim and say if Deron is running a fastbreak, Livingston can finish dunks and layups. He can also post up.

While he can't shoot threes good, he can do everything else CJ couldn't. Terry loves shooting threes, so it's a good backcourt of balance between Livingston and Terry.

I don't think Kidd will have anyone from the starting five playing with the 2nd unit. It was only done since Marshon Brooks and CJ Watson sucked at passing and scoring.

Then we should fire him now, because he'd be a terrible coach. But that's not going to happen, JJ and Pierce are going to get their chances to do their thing with the bench. It'll be a necessity because of how congested the starting lineup is.

And Terry is also a guy who needs to handle the ball a bit, he's not just a spot up shooter, he likes to shoot off the dribble. Though Livingston and Terry work better defensively because of Livingston's size. I wonder how those two would work with JJ and Pierce on the court. Livingston/Terry/JJ/Evans/Blatche is an odd lineup. Three non-shooters and too many guys that need the ball.

I don't like our bench at all.

Btw Terry can do everything Watson did last season for us just as well. Probably better .

Livingston just brings an extra playmaking option.

Also i don't think Evans will see alot of minutes next year . He certainly should not be the primary backup for KG .
