My own guess, but Snell isn't backing up Butler. Right now Rose/Hinrich/Butler are the 3 guards. Teague, hopefully will improve and get some nice minutes. But I certainly don't see a log jam.

I see two young athletic starters, a solid backup vet, and that's as far as it goes right now.

Yup, lets fire Thibs, and replace him with Mike D'Antoni ...

No. Let's not do that.

I think there is a few teams we need to watch out for that might be able pick up Nate.

Clippers
Thunder(If they don't resign Fisher.)
Hawks
and maybe the Rockets

Agreed. A nice balance of offense and defense compared to the last 3 years.

We get to expect majority of our offense from Rose, Nate, Booz and Jimmy while Taj, Noah, Deng and Kirk can do their elite defensive thing.

I like this year going in with Nate.

Uh Hinrich is better than Nate Robinson so....If Kirk doesn't get injured we probably finish the Nets in 5 games instead of 7.

Robinson is what he is, a streaky scorer and good shooter who is the worst defensive guard in the NBA even though he tries.

I like Nate and would be happy if he is back on the team but I don't see how he is the difference between us beating or losing to Miami.

We lost simply because we couldn't score....again...for the 3rd time in a row.

We held Miami....MIAMI....to 90 points a game on average. So the defense was right on point. Offense, or lack of, killed us once again.

and putting nate into the lineup hurts the defense. you understand that, right?

if you guys don't think dunleavy will be getting some SG minutes i don't know what to tell you. unless of course thibs decides to cut deng's minutes significantly

and if we go with the two ballhandler backcourt on occasion it's more likely to be rose and kirk. not rose and nate

Yep and got no problem with that during certain situations. The whole "we need super great defense" routine, we've had 3 years of it. Tired of seeing great defense with absolutely no scoring getting done. Don't mind sacrificing the D a little knowing we'll hit more buckets.

that's like saying you don't want a dime because you prefer two nickels aesthetically

whether you're taking 1 ppg away from your opponent or adding 1 ppg to your own offense it makes no damn difference

and the only situation that would make sense is holding for the last shot of a quarter

No, I'd rather take away their point while making a point. And keeping Nate gives us the best odds of doing that compared to two extremes of either not defending or not scoring.

I like it when people have nothing to say and no point of view and just dig into positions that are the opposite of reality. There is a reason why Kirk Hinrich has made 60 million dollars in his career and nate has made 20. There is a reason why no one wants Nate Robinson even after some big playoff performances.

well then you'd better find someone other than nate robinson or kirk hinrich

kirk can hit the open three, handle the ball and defend SGs. nate cannot do all of these. and while nate can create offense that kirk can't it would overlap with rose's ability to do the same. there is no overlap on the defensive end
