new to the forums. but been following these forums for a long time and i am avid Magic fan from Orlando.
i work at the airport and saw glen davis walking around with a boot on his left foot. so i would assume its quite serious. oooooo and GO MAGIC

Tanking=intentionally losing.

I hope our young high value prospect players win 82 games next year. So does everyone else. But playing young players so you can develop them, then getting a high pick at the same time, is not wrong or intentionally losing. It's smart.

If it weren't for his hit on the cap, I'd love to have him in Orlando. I think he'd be perfect for this team. But he'd kill the flexibility we're all waiting for. We're almost out from under some bad contracts. Need to be patient and not blow it before we can take advantage of it.

Good call. If his contract were reversed or had a team option it'd be perfect, but his cap hit jumps from 5m to 15m next offseason when we'll be going after free agents.

Cap hit does not jump, it's 8 mil or whatever a year. You just pay him the 15 mil the 3rd year while on the cap, it's 8 mil. I think it's 8.3 million.

Why do you have to single out the Asian community? Lin is a humble, pretty decent player so anyone interested in good basketball should like him, not just the Asians.

Every color of skin probably hates his contract equally as well.

I know the likelihood of him making the team is next to nothing, but I'd really like to see Keith Clanton get some burn. Guy is a very good PF. Hope to see some of him this week.

theres actually like a little asain town on West Colonial. but ya i couldnt give 2 **** about him. dont need to trade for his meh Contract. we are suppossed to be commited to Player Development this year and obviously lin could screw that up.....

I'm aware of the area. A lot of cities have a designated asian area, doesn't mean it represents a large population of asians. I'm pretty sure the Puerto Rican community alone dramatically outnumbers the entire Asian community in Orlando. I don't even need to add other spanish-speaking cultures. And that's another thing... when it comes to Asian countries, they all speak different languages. They're not as connected as people love to think. But yeah, if we were to consider Lin, it would be for his basketball skills alone. There's no racial gimmick factor to gain benefits from.
