Utah Jazz need a Back up PG for Burk, & Pistons need experince at SF Position. Considering the Jazz picked up SF Jefferson fom GS. That leave SF Marvin Williams available. Williams makes $7.5mil ( Last Year of Contract) For PG Stuckey 8.5mil (Last year of contract). Win-Win for both teams

Larry Bird was capable of landing on the NBA's All-Defensive teams on multiple occasions.

Gallo is very far from being a poor man's Bird.

He'd have to become something similar to Dirk Nowitzki for me to consider.

That's why he is a poor man's Bird, he has an excellent offensive game and plays alot like Bird, but he doesn't have the 2-way game.

I think Gallo is an underrated defender. I remember him defending Kobe and Durant last year in the playoffs and he pretty much contained them. While I don't think he's a defensive all teamer, he is definitely capable of holding his own against top 2's and 3's.

No. Burks for Stuckey I would be fine with, or I would try to shoot for the stars and want Hayward :P

The only value Stucky has is that he's a small expiring deal. Other than that he has negative value so ill trade him for a bag of chips and call it a day.

I think Detroit can rebuild some value in Stuckey before trading him. It's his contract year. He's not good at kick outs but he is capable of passing to bigs. When he comes off the bench, theoretically he'll be complimented by another shooter and Detroit would shift their bigs down. He's not a long term answer but he could be worth something at the trade deadline as an expiring contract and bench help to someone.

You are underrating the value of expiring contracts. I'll prove it. Coming into this season, tons of fans were arguing that no top free agents would ever come to Detroit. Josh Smith, one of the premiere free agents and a top player signed with Detroit. We didn't give him a max contract. But we had a crapload of cap room and some very nice young talent.

Every team in the league just saw that if you create caproom, THEY WILL COME.

Teams will absolutely want Stuckey and CV's expiring contracts. That's $17 million more cap room for teams to snuggle up to, so they can do what we did. The Pistons. Us. -- How's them apples!

I know I'm in the minority on this, but I think we may see a "reborn" Stuckey this year. He is in his contract year, and he does have some actual talent. Even if he is playing for a new contract, I expect good things from him this year.

I agree - this is a distinct possibility. And if he does play well, he could have very enormous value at the trade deadline.

I think we should lower our expectations on what we can get for RS until February.

I have learned to never expect Stuckey to be good for a long period of time

If you just want cap-space, I think the Warriors would probably aquire him with our TPE. We're in the market for back-up point guards with expiring deals, and I think he could be a fit.

stuckey is better pg than knight but not good enough.

anyway, we should sign with will bynum. siva is not a nba caliber player. and bynum is good for drummond.
Sorry for my poor english

Siva had 5 steals and 6 assists. I'm not crazy about Siva but if he can rack up assists and steal the ball then I'm ok with him as a 3rd stringer. Definitely an upgrade over English.

I would jump all over it. Detroit would get raw cap apace which is great.
