Looking like Kaman for the MMLE. Not a bad move, to be honest.

Still need wing help. Who do we get for SF now?

And people might think I'm joking, but Kaman has more offensive moves than Dwight Howard.

I'd give him 2 with a team option on the second if possible.
The MMLE isn't going to cut too deep into our 2014 plans but 2015 may be better anyway.

Yeah, a team option would be a good idea but I doubt Kaman would want that. He can make that money regardless of how bad he plays this year. I'm guessing a 1-year deal for the MMLE is the best option. The only thing that worries me is that he might start, and I want Gasol to start at C. Kaman as a backup is solid.

Kaman as a backup C is very solid, especially when he'd come at MMLE likely (or vet min I'm hoping). I don't know though, what are we going to do about our wing position if we blow the entire MMLE on him?

The Vet. Min on Kaman would be golden. If we sign him for the full MMLE, I'm guessing MWP won't be amnestied. Unless Mitch plans on finding swingmen off the street.

He did start 52 games last year. I would rather have Pau at C but Kaman could start if needed. That will jack up Dantoni's offense. However, Kaman doesn't have the ego that DUHwight had.

Oh God no. How does moving Pau back to PF help in MDA's offense? Rather start MWP at PF.

I'd rather see Sasha jack up 3's then Kaman in a Lakers uni.

the guy is TRASH. we're not talking Kaman of 5 years ago. What the F is the deal with the infatuation with old, broken down players?

we always sign some bull player who should have retired years ago. why don't we call Aaron McKie and Horace Grant while we're at it?

I don't get this, unless it's for a bench role and Pau insurance.

I'm pretty sure it's for a bench role, if he get vets minimum fine anything more than that.......

I'd rather give Hill more minutes than sign Kaman... but if the Lakers really want a center I'd rather sign Greg Oden for part of the MLE, 1-year.

I would take a risk on Oden as well as other young guys who haven't panned out for whatever reason, but the FO is seemingly intent on trying to compete next year and then reloading through free agency in 2014.

I always wonder what happened to this guy, I remember when brand got injured he averaged like 20+,12 in a short period time and then he all of sudden became trash. Anyway, this is not a bad move, he's a smart player so he'll fit we'll next to Pau and like you already mentioned he's a good offensive player.

They should really focus on a wing before thinking about Kaman or Kenyon Martin or any other backup big.

Well if Oden was willing to sign for a year he could re-establish some value and sign a bigger contract the following season... or sign for two-years with a team option.
