According to Eric Pincus, another signing may be happening soon as well. I've been hearing some names, but not sure how I feel about those names.

I like Hollins. Not the greatest talent but he's a hustler and is tough, so I'm glad he's back.

Mk who else you hearing?

According to Eric Pincus, we talking to Antawn Jamison? Thoughts?

It's nice that he can stretch the floor but his lack of production on a thin Laker team is concerning.

Meh, I rather LO over Jamison. We don't need more offense. At least LO rebounds and can play some D

One of them was Jamison. I've seen Jason Collins' name pop as well. We already have Jarron Collins working for us, so it's not farfetched to see that as a possibility.

eh why not, we need more warm body on the bench and we can offer a tad more than cap strapped fakers. we can probably sign him for little more than the vet's min since we hold his bird rights, and that should be enough.

but i am still holding out a little hope that we can get something back with reggie's TPE. it would be ironic and comical if we get reggie back with reggie's TPE. or would stern still see that as a tied deal to doc?

it would be a good move to add to the continued effort of rebuilding DTS' image to sign jason.

Think we need to continue to add length. O'Neal and another long big and we are set

True, but I'd rather have a better player.

I wouldn't mind O'neal, especially if Odom isn't brought back. He's who I've been hoping that we'd have interest in.

Not to sound bad but that would bring too much attention. Plus he's awful

Not liking this signing that much. I was hoping we'd get Dalembert. He's older, but he's much more experience and considering how thin we are up front, Hollins might have to play a lot more minutes this season than he's ever played in his career. At this point, I even wish we got Kaman as much as I hated him during his first stint with the Clippers.

And it does sound bad, but I agree with you mttwisn, he's a terrible player and would bring too much attention. Plus we need to look at a back up 4 not another career 3rd stringer like Hollins.

Would we have any chance to get Speights? That's the only guy left that would actually make me feel comfortable having come off the bench if Blake or DJ got in foul trouble. Odom and Jamison both are absolutely terrible and should be our last option. Odom started doing better towards the end of last year, but I think he just doesn't care anymore about working out in the offseason. And Jamison might be a little better, but he's too inconsistent for my liking. Last year he'd have about 1 game in every 15 that he'd go off and make everything and then the rest of the time he'd just chuck away.

unless dalembert was willing to sign for the vet's min, i fail to see how we could have signed him over hollins. if samuel D was willing to sign on for vet's min, we can still have him regardless of hollins' signing.
in other words, signing hollins did not hinder our ability to sign dalembert and still doesn't, having been over the cap with only PTE and vet's min contracts at our disposal, is.

as for jason collins, i think for DTS' PR sake it's a good move. for basketball, meh.
ehhhhh f it.

Good insurance big. But I agree, we probably don't want him playing big minutes. Dalembert and Kaman would be really good choices, especially with JO seemingly going to another team. If all else fails, I don't mind bringing LO back, provided he sticks to his role and stops taking long jumpers.

And I'd pass on Jameson. That whole Wizards big three fell off hard.
