Realistic finish to the offseason

Post#1 » by BayAreaTreyArea » Mon Jul 8, 2013 12:53 am

I hope we aren't finished. Kcp was 0-8 to start his career in the summer league. But that's nerves. <----- (hopefully). I hope we can make some more major upgrades. Trade or fa. Smith was piece one of upgrading and we can't stop with that.
Pistons vs. Warriors in the Finals in 2017 - With KCP hitting a game winner so the Pistons dont get swept.

Sign Billups and good shooting backup SG and we are set. I wouldn't mind amnestying CV and going after Kaman either.

Should've gotten Mayo to be our 6th man. But now its looking like Ellington.

I think we'll sign some minor shooter to round out our guard rotation, someone like Morrow.

The "big" moves are over, though.

i think Ellington would be a nice cheap pick up. Hopefully KCP develops into a starting level guy and Ellington would be a nice role player behind him.
Signing him, however, would basically mean english doesn't get picked up.

I'm definitely in on Ellington for a cheap two year deal.

Any interest in Ridnour ($4.3 mil exp) or Barea ($9.2 for 2 yrs) for cap space and a 2nd?

I'd take Ridenour for a 2nd round draft pick. Not Barea though.

Taking on Eric Gordon's contract for expirings and anyone besides BK, KCP, Smoove, Moose or Dre would be ideal.

PG: Knight
SG: Gordon
SF: Smith
PF: Monroe
C: Dre

That is a great starting 5.

I'm a Raptor fan and I'm not saying I'd want this, but would you do Rudy Gay for Greg Monroe + Charlie V + Stuckey? I'm just thinking of ways to improve your team. I think you guys should of made a bigger push for Iggy, to get both Iggy and Smith in town. But Gay and Smith could be a good pairing as well.

Its been discussed here before and the consensus has been a resounding No.

Probably not. Gay's like a 6'8 Brandon Jennings. Gets you some points, but incredibly inefficient while doing so.

If the Raptor throw in Demar Derozan and a pick, why not?
