Wilson at SG sport?

Yes, we only need to adjust defensive system. Good shooter.

Could Wilson plays at SG?

Post#1 » by darivo » Mon Jul 8, 2013 9:27 am

All of us knows that Fields-Gallo-Wilson changes their positions getting a player movement and space floor that really likes Mike D'antoni.
Wilson played at Sg spot sometimes.

I think Wilson could plays at Sg, because he is a good shooter and he goes very good dribbling to the basket.

and this could be the most physical team in the league.

what do you think?

It hasn't worked here in the past, due to his inability to keep up with quicker guards and his inconsistent shooting. I'm not positive it can't work, but from what I have seen his strengths are more suited as a 3 or stretch 4.

Chandler does not have the quickness to keep up with guards.

Wilson thinks he can play SG, but in reality, he's not fit enough. He's more of a banger 3, and a stretch 4

He likes to take jumpers and sometimes takes too many, when he has a very effective pump and drive move. Inside he's almost unstoppable on put backs. I think to start the year with Gallo out, he will be the starting SF, but at anytime, he could easily be a SG or PF, depending on the match ups

nope.

offensive game will be marginalized if he can't attack slower players.

and defensively he's not quick enough to keep up either.

No, I think Wilson is a versatile player but he should be primarily used as a small forward with the ability to be a small-ball power forward when necessary.

This reminds me a little of Chicago's experiment with plugging Luol Deng at the two earlier in his career (I think it was 2005-2006 season).

He had a size advantage to shoot over and post up opposing shooting guards but did not possess enough quickness or ball-handling.
