what teams have enough cap space left to offer hendo a decent deal? hawks, mavs and cavs?

i wonder if the mavs or hawks are considering a deal for hendo. mavs lost mayo and hawks dont really have a solid sg until williams is back fully healthy and even then he is more combo guard.

calderon, hendo, marion, dirk, ??

teague, hendo, korver, milsap, horford

Denver should have some cap space after after losing Iggy, right?

Seems like he would be a good fit on that team and next to Lawson. I would also imagine OKC having some cap space available after losing Martin, but I don't know if he's much of a fit there.

Morey wins the bargain of this summer award by signing Garcia to that contract.

Couldn't the Spurs sign Hendo, perhaps?

they just resigned manu and picked up belinelli. with green on the roster that gives them 3 shooting guards. doubt they would go after hendo.

Hendo #8 on ESPN Insiders list of best remaining free agents:
Henderson took his game to a new level after the All-Star break, averaging 18.5 points per game. While that was partially explained by increased playing time, he pushed his per-36 averages from 16.6 points and 2.6 assists before the break to 19.0 points and 3.7 assists thereafter. His true shooting percentage also improved from .514 to .547. The Bobcats may be able to get a good deal to bring back the restricted free agent, who has apparently drawn little outside interest.

Quality guys going for extremely reasonable prices. Garcia, DWright, Dunleavy, Delfino, Belinelli, MBarnes going from 1 to 3 mln. Lots of value there. Maybe Hendo's asking too much?

It's a good thing for us that Hendo has drawn little interest from other teams. I hope we can re-sign him for 6-7M per year.

we'll see - henderson's agent may advise him to just play under the QO this season and try again next summer for a long term deal. wouldn't be the worst strategy in a deflated market. i do feel a lot more confident that henderson will be a bobcat next season than i did in, say, april.

2014 free agency is going to be an absolute frenzy. Hendo will get buried completely relative to all the talent that will be free agents next summer. He's better off getting his payday now.

How many other second tier guards are available next year outside of Hayward?

Wade, Kobe, Lebron, Hayward, Turner, Paul George, Stuckey, Bledsoe, Bradley, Vasquez, Lou Williams, Ray Allen, Crawford, other Crawford, Sefolosha, J-Rich, Shawn Marion, Pierce, Deng, Battier, Granger, Caron Butler, Marvin Williams, Ariza, and Aminu are all wing players that have to be paid next summer somehow. Hendo's better than a good portion of these guys, but teams are going to be much more focused on bigger names next summer. These are only the wing players.

He might have the biggest/most muscular calves in the league.

this is tough. by my rankings i have hendo at #27 on the shooting guard list. that being said, there really isnt much difference between #10 and #42 on this list other than consistency. the main point is that shooting guards like hendo are available in every draft and often in the mid-to-late 1st rounds as well as 2nd rounds and they are also available every summer in free agency.

who did i forget and where do you think my rankings are way off? too much credit to the defensive guys like allen, bradley, thabo and afflalo? or not enough? too high or too low for the rookies beal and waiters? does kobe deserve a tier to his own?

The rest really doesn't matter!

Edit: By the way a 3yr 15 million dollar deal would be good value for a guy like Hendo. Not much upside left at 25 but a solid contributor and still young enough to maybe surprise.

I considered moving him up a tier and dropping both the Allen"s down but I thought maybe what those guys bring individually in offense from Ray and Defense from Tony may mean more than the total package of Hendo to their respective teams?
You would probably have a better idea as a Charlotte fan.
