the first casual practice interview with MKG on bobcats.com that i can remember. maybe this year they're going to let him speak for himself a little bit? listen to him, he sounds a LOT more comfortable than he did in any interviews last season. very cool to see. talks about zeller a bit, clifford, what he's been working on this summer, plans for him in this season's offence, good stuff.

He sounds a lot better thank God. I'd have to X out of his interviews last year since it made me uncomfortable just watching him.

The video is watchable, still can tell how uncomfortable he is but its a huge improvement from last year. Good for him.

MKG is now listed as guard? I was hoping to see him a little buffed up. I hope he can add more muscle this season.

And yes, he speaks a lot better now. Way to go, MKG!

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is the Charlotte Bobcats guard now, huh? Interesting (maybe a typo)

A lot of his poor public speaking last season may have come from nervousness. Remember he was still a teenager.

Maybe we are making room for Wiggins or Parker. Interesting.

@rick_bonnell: Mark Price working with MKG on his corner jumper.

@rick_bonnell: I saw Michael Kidd-Gilchrist throw down two tomahawk dunks that sure didn't look like messing around in the summer.

Mark Price is wishing MKG can go back in time and play when Mark was at Cleveland with Brad Daugherty.

I expect a much improved MKG this summer. Can't wait for October.

only way MKG doesnt wreck summer league would be if the staff tells him to use games to work on his jumper or if they have him playing point forward. both things would be great for his overall improvement, but probably wouldnt look great in boxscores. we all know he can get in the paint and finish at the rim. he doesnt need to work on that part of his game as much as other areas.

I wonder how much they will let them play? I saw Drummond did not play today. Typically the " vets" play a game or two, then let the free agents show their stuff.

Such a likeable kid.

The part around the 25 sec mark where he says "I'm ready to go now, man. I mean, I'm just ready to go. I'm ready to start the season" which he says with a massive smile on his face had me smiling just listening to him and seeing him smile without even knowing I was smiling myself.

He's joyfulness is infectious.

They're going to have go keep an eye on MKG. Kid plays at 175% even in little pickup games. He should dominate though.

When he's on the basketball court has like a kid on Christmas morning. Stuff like that is infectious.
