Bev is not ready to start...he hasn't learned to manage the game and is not a playmaker yet. McHale knows better to start Lin and not Bev and that is what we will see.

Lin is going to have a much improved season. He had an excellent pick and roll partnership going on with Tyson Chandler so you can imagine how awesome it would be to see him lobbing the ball to D12.

I think Asik will be traded for a floor-spacing power forward and the Rockets will be able to make some noise.

“It was on the Fourth of July,” Howard said. “That’s when I felt it was Houston. I was in Colorado. It seemed like every person that I met was from Houston. It was just so ironic. I’d walk around. Someone would ask for a picture. They’d give me a business card and it would say Houston on it. I was like, “Is everybody in Colorado from Houston right now?’ It was unbelievable. “I was like, ‘You know what, this has to be from God.’ You pray for things to happen. You pray for signs, for God to show you things. It just seemed like, this was it.” Houston Chronicle

To Howard, no consideration meant more to him when he weighed his options this week than “championship potential.” He had been moved by the conversations with Hakeem Olajuwon and excited by the plan described by Kevin McHale. He said his private conversation with Rockets owner Leslie Alexander might have meant more than even all the talks with Chandler Parsons and James Harden. But the greatest issue, he said, was the chance to win championships. Houston Chronicle

My two cents on D12.

I think he's not THAT good offensively. He doesn't have that size to be a dominant scorer. He needs to have good spacing on the floor for him to operate. And that's why he had a hard time on offense with the Lakers. That is also the reason why Gasol was forced to be more of a mid range shooter and it also gave him a hard time. I think Houston would be perfect with their perimeter oriented offense. But if they want to revolve around D12. First things first, get a stretch four.

Congrats on the D12 acquisition.

No surprise with the negative recruiting going on..

Houston was aware it was happening and worked to diffuse the campaign late in the process. "It was obviously competitive for Dwight's services, and maybe we were looking like the lead team," Morey told Y! Sports. "But not only were teams advocating for their own position, they tried to tear us down, too. I didn't have any issue with it, unless it became personal." Yahoo! Sports

In the final weeks and days and hours leading into Howard's decision, the most consistent negative recruiting pitch rivals made to him about Houston centered on Harden. In presentations and private conversations to Howard, Harden had been sold as a bad teammate and selfish player, multiple sources told Yahoo! Sports. "He was told [Harden] would be another Kobe in his life," one source closely involved in the free-agent process told Yahoo! Sports. "It came from a lot of people, but never once from Dwight's mouth." Not shocked that other teams would bash one another. I'm sure it happens during every free agent meeting.

That's fantastic. I know plenty of guys that vacation in Colorado and I do as well.

Happy to have D12 in town and I can't wait to see how the rest of the roster is filled out.

Dwight can go to church with Jeremy in the day and go to the strip club with James at night.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

And then he can catch a romantic movie with Chandler Parsons during the weekend. What a life.

Picking us was the easiest choice he made.

Hi Hou fans, I am new to this board.. Hopefully everyone will welcome me with open arms.

I am usually on the PHI board, seeing that I am a 76er fan. However, Rockets have been my a favorite WC team of mine since last season. I want to make it clear I am not hopping on the bandwagon just because Rockets signed Dwight.

I had NBA League Pass Choice last season and Rockets were one of my 5 choice teams. I mainly chose Rockets for Lin. I am of Taiwanese decent so naturally I am interested. I hope it is okay for me to post here now, along with the Philly board. I don't see why a fan can't have a couple favorite teams, instead of just one.
