this isn't surprising, but it is still sad to me to see one of the most entertaining personalities in sports go.

Wait, I'm confused as hell. How do we sign Kaman with the MMLE if we're going to be under the apron by amnestying Metta?

Edit: I guess we're still not below the apron even after amnestying Metta?

it doesn't matter if the lakers are under the apron after amnestying metta. they'd be below it by so little that using the full non-tax payer MLE would put them right back over the apron, so can't use it anyway.

I mean if they amnesty Metta, we are allowed the full mle. As long as he is amnestied first. That leaves 2mil. We get them mmle if Kaman inks pen to paper first heard it on espn radio

makes sense, there's no reason to pay $30 million this year in order to keep a player like MWP on the team. Having said that we need to make strong pushes for 2 SFs to fill our roster at minimum contracts.

Man sucks for Metta and the lakers. Thanks for everything Ron-Ron! I really thought last season was going to be his redeem season, he started playing great and he was in grape shape, unfortunately he got injured (but who wasn't?).

I hope we already have a replacement for him tho, now that Dwight and Metta are gone no words can describe how bad are defense is going to be next season.

Ps. Watch how he's gonna get signed by the heat or any contending team and then becomes useful again lol.

Actually I feel kind of sad by this. His game 7 vs the Celtics will always have a special place in Laker fans heart.

Yeah he's gonna be a steal for a contender if no other team puts a bid in for him.. Thank you Metta for everything. We dont win the 2010 NBA finals without you

Kobe

The question is, who plays PF.
It means we've got something else in the works or we're going into full tank mode.

Watch the Clippers sign him so he can stay in LA. Or he goes off and returns to Houston to start at PF since Morey is a numbers guy and numbers clearly showed Metta and Dwight at the 4 and 5 was a force

OKC, Clippers could use a physical player on the wing.

Kobe was a shade under 200lbs last year.mi mean he's strong, quick, and has excellent footwork, but god lee. I guess it helps Melo and Bron moved to the 4
