No no no, the fact they freed themselves of ever having to deal with Royce white again is priceless

The Rockets gave up draft rights to Furkan Aldemir, who they were hoping to bring over this year, and cash to pay Royce White's salary.
The Rockets get "future consideration" in return. Basically a pick that will never materialize. Like say a Top-59 protected 2nd rounder or something. So if the Sixers don't land in the 60th out of 60 picks spot, the pick obligation expires and the Rockets get zilch.
Basically, the Rockets gave up value (Furkan Aldemir, cash) to dump Royce White in return for getting nothing ("future considerations" pick so heavily protected that it will never materialize).
Only positive that the Rockets walk away from this deal with is freed up cap space to sign Dwight.
Only negative that the Sixers walk away with is a possible frivolous lawsuit from Royce White when the contract ends and he needs to make a quick buck.
