IDK about that...but especially since he's the poor man's version of a guy they already have I really don't get it.

LOL at the Bucks going gaga over zaza. He's 29 now and they signed him for what appears to be a 3 year full MLE deal? Come on now...

Maybe a little much, but I love Zaza. He'd be a solid backup behind Bogez. Tough mofo.

Drummond leads Detroit who I think will be muvch improved this season.

Detroit needs to trade Monroe while some GMs still think he's the shizzle. Then they can run Drummond/Smith in the front court, and a nice guard they get for Monroe in the backcourt.

I agree. Trade him to the Bucks for Jennings and maybe we can get Udoh (for a TPE if we can get it). He'd be a great backup 4 and 3rd string 5 for us who shouldn't cost us an arm and a leg.

They'll be improved but I am not sure by how much. They'll need to make some more moves. Their offense will have problems for sure. The backcourt is made up of two combo guards (Knight and Stuckey) who don't shoot well from the perimeter. Their SF is Smoove who shouldn't shoot from outside/questionable shot selection.

Ellis with 4 sutors and likely to receive an offer in the next 36-48 hours.:

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/94636 ... r-suitors'

New Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer was a longtime assistant in San Antonio, and he views Ellis as a point guard in the mold of Tony Parker, according to a source.

Sacramento already has made Ellis an offer, but to get to his desired price, the Kings are considering moving Marcus Thornton, a source said. Kings coach Mike Malone is familiar with Ellis, having coached him as an assistant on Golden State's staff.

I think this would be a big mistake for the Mavs, Calderon and Ellis in the same backcourt.
The Mavericks' Plan B, following their failed attempt to sign Dwight Howard, is to land both Andrew Bynum and Ellis. The Mavericks believe Ellis can play in the backcourt next to Jose Calderon. In order to make competitive offers to both Bynum and Ellis, the Mavs are shopping Shawn Marion and his $9 million expiring contract. So far, however, they've found no takers.

Depends on what happens with Henderson.
Finally, Charlotte, which already has made a big free-agent signing in acquiring Al Jefferson, is waiting on word from their shooting guard, Gerald Henderson. If they are able to retain Henderson, they'll move on from Ellis. If not, the Bobcats may try to move some players in order to create room to sign Ellis.

Two summers of cap and the Mavs have nothing to show for it

Quick, someone name what all those teams pursuing Ellis have in common!

Too late - they all suck! Atlanta is ok but the fact that Charlotte isn't sure about Ellis seeing as they have Gerald **** Henderson on their roster speaks volumes about him.

Monta is like fresh Taco Bell. Right after you get him, your clock starts ticking rapidly until he becomes unusable in his role.

If you've ever bought Taco Bell and had to drive it home or seen Monta play for a year, you'd know what I mean.
